Linda showed how dull her kitchen was looking like before the transformation[/caption] Now her kitchen is much more modern thanks to three bargain buys[/caption]And Linda Louise had found just the trick when it came to decorating her drab kitchen.
“Our kitchen makeover done on a budget. Spray paint, stick on tiles and fablon,” she captioned the social media post.
The post showed how her kitchen looked before the transformation which saw her outdated dark brown wooden cupboards and brown tiled kitchen floor.
The top of the counters had the classic white and speckled design while her backsplash was made from boring cream tiles.
But she soon go to work in giving it a chic update.
The next snap saw her kitchen after the makeover and it looked world’s away from her new one.
Using just three items she managed to update it to a modern black and marble stone theme on a budget.
Linda revealed that she used plastic spray paint on the kitchen cupboards from The Range in black.
She took them off to ensure the paint didn’t end up everywhere and also used it to paint the woodwork and oven fan too.
Using Fablon vinyl sheets she covered the old counter tops with a marble-effect.
Next, she revealed she used B&M stick on tiles to create a modern backsplash in grey rectangles.
The post was a hit on the Facebook group, DIY On A Budget Official, with over 250 likes.
People were quick to praise Linda in the comments section.

YOU don't have to spend loads to give a room a new look. Here are five other home renovation tricks you can try.
Kitchen cupboards
One way to give your kitchen a complete transformation for less is to change the look of the kitchen cupboards. There are loads of different vinyl coverings out there to choose from, and it’s a quick and easy way to update your home.
Handles
Another thing you can try that won’t break the bank is to change up the handles. You can pick up relatively cheap handles in DIY stores, or even in the charity shop. Adding new ones to your kitchen cupboards, or doors in your house, can be extremely effective.
Leftovers
Most of us have old half-used tins of paint in the garage, but they’re often forgotten about. However, there may be enough in the pot to paint a feature wall in another room, and you won’t have to spend a penny.
Freebies
It’s worth checking your local Facebook Marketplace, or Freecycle, to see what other people are getting rid of. As they say, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure. And if someone’s planning to revamp a room, they might want to get rid of a sofa, or a coffee table, which you could use to give a lounge a new look.
