A 10-MONTH-OLD girl has died in hospital three days after a horror crash that also killed a man, 46, and injured six more.
The girl was taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital with serious injuries after the smash near Tavistock in Devon on Monday.
Cops are probing the collision between a Vauxhall Astra and a Kia Rio on an unnamed road at 12.55pm that day.
A 46-year-old local man, who was the front seat passenger in the Kia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 10-month-old girl also died in the early hours of this morning, cops said.
Three other people remain in hospital after suffering serious injuries in the crash.
A man in his thirties from Peterborough has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The man has also been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
He has been released on bail, pending further enquiries by Devon and Cornwall Police.
Sergeant Troy Bennett said: “This is a tragic incident. The thoughts of our officers are with the family and friends of all those involved.
“This will have shocked and saddened the community, especially with the death of a young child.
“We are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision and specialist officers are supporting the families involved.”
Cops are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries.
