NESTLE has launched a new Quality Street Matchmakers flavour which tastes very similar to the much-loved spread Nutella, according to shoppers.
The new product was spotted and shared on the Newfoodsuk Facebook page.
One customer took a photo of the Christmas chocolate treat, writing: “New Quality Street Chocolate Hazelnut Matchmakers!! There’s a very strong flavour of hazelnut, tastes like Nutella – so good!! We got these from Morrisons.”
One person commented: “Oh my days! I’ll be picking some of these up on Wednesday!”
Another added: “Keep an eye out for these.”
Someone else said: “That sounds like a great flavour and I like it.”
Another person wrote: “These will be way better than coffee ones.”
Matchmakers Hazelnut is a limited edition flavour for Christmas. The RRP is £2.24, but final prices are always at the discretion of individual retailers.
It’s available to buy from Asda, Lidl, Poundland, B&M, Co-op, Morrisons, OneStop, Spar and Iceland.
It’s not the only Christmas chocolate available to purchase in August.
Sainsbury’s shoppers rushed to their nearest store to get their hands on a festive treat before it disappears.
Packs of Kinder Bueno Eggs are back in the store and the festive packaging would suggest the product has been re-stocked in the run-up to Christmas.
A Facebook post picturing the item gained nearly one thousand reactions as the fan-favourite has been revealed as back in stores.
Meanwhile, one Morrison’s customer took to TikTok to share her horror when spotting Xmas goodies on the shelves despite it still being summer.
Amongst the items she spotted in the aisle, included a range of mince pies, numerous boxes of chocolate to share with your family and friends and delicious biscuits to enjoy with a warm cuppa or hot chocolate.
B&M is also selling Christmas chocolate treats, with a “huge” bag of Quality Street Creme Favourites available for just £4.
The confectionary brand has offered Quality Street Creme lovers the opportunity to have the best of both worlds with strawberry and orange flavours bundled together.

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed on flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for supermarket’s own brand bars.
Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
Last year, the festive confectionary brand released a similar product offering consumers the chance to purchase a pouch with only Strawberry Delight.
Those hoping to grab a bag for themselves may have to head instore as B&M’s website is yet to advertise the popular item.
However, those going straight to their nearest store may want to phone up beforehand to avoid disappointment.
If you’re not a fan of this particular flavour you could still look to B&M for your confectionary needs.
Whilst a classic Street Tub of Nestle‘s Quality chocolates is available to buy online for £5.50.
There are also Galaxy Luxury Chocolate Hampers available exclusively to B&M for £10.
