ALTON Towers has announced that it is unveiling two brand new attractions for their annual Halloween Scarefest.
They include Compound – a new live-action scare maze based on the Nemesis Reborn ride, and a family-friendly interactive attraction called Amigos in the Afterlife.
In Compound, guests find themselves as a subject of the Phalanx – a shady organisation originally tasked with keeping the Nemesis beast under control.
The scare maze is set within the intimidating Phalanx facility laboratories, and guests are trying to escape a sci-fi experiment where their DNA is the next weapon.
For the more faint of heart, Amigos in the Afterlife invites guests to step foot into a world where the gap between this life and the next is at its thinnest.
Guided by friendly spirits, guests must find their way back to the world of the living, taking on tasks presented by mischievous characters along the way.
The two new attractions will be joined by other favourite spooky events and features that make the Scarefest so popular with visitors in the run up to Halloween.
Popular attractions from previous years are also returning, including Daz Games, which this year has been titled Panic Reloaded – featuring an adrenaline-inducing escape room meets live action scare maze.
In the game, challengers have until the timer reaches zero to take on a series of challenges in order to escape.
Scarefest favourites Altonville Mine Tours – Tiny’s Revenge, The Attic: Terror of the Towers and the resort’s outdoor scare zone, Burial Grounds are also making a comeback.
For those with little ones that prefer more treat than trick, Haribo’s Trick O’ Treat Town, will also return for 2024, where park-goers can knock on the doors from Spooky Avenue all the way up to the Witchy Woods for a trick-or-treat experience.
CBeebies Land will also be hosting Scarefest festivities, with a Monster Ball being held in Big Fun Showtime, where guests can join their favourite CBeebies characters to dance and play games.
Guests can also go on the park’s rides and attractions in the darkness, with the park open until 9pm each night, adding a scary twist to rollercoasters like Nemesis Reborn and the Wicker Man.
The scarefest activities are due to begin on October 11 and will run until November 3.
Guests can also extend their visit to Alton Towers this Halloween season with a short break at one of the resort’s themed accommodations from £57pp.
