A WOMAN has been praised after showing how she gave her grubby bathroom a refresh for under £300.
Mum-of-five Victoria explained that while she wasn’t happy with the tired bathroom, her fiance was going to entirely rip it out next year and would be fitting “brand new everything”.
So there was no need for them to spend loads on the makeover, with Victoria setting herself a target of just £300.
She took to TikTok to share before and afters of the room, which she said “speak for themselves”.
“I have kept the sink, the toilet and the bath, and most of the accessories I bought can be taken down and refitted in the new bathroom next year,” she said.
“It was just in desperate need of a refresh, it felt so grubby!”
She spent £70 on paint, from Rust-Oleum and Jenolite, £84 on the shower screen – the BAYSTONE 800mm Black Grid Bath Screen from Amazon – and £150 on other accessories.
As for the time spent on doing the job, Victoria explained that it took her around 10 hours over the space of two days.
“The before and afters just speak for themselves,” she concluded.
The next job on her list is the downstairs toilet, on which she said there would be “no expense spared”.
People were quick to comment on Victoria’s incredible handiwork, with one writing: “Smashedddd that!”

As Victoria replied: “It is!

To which Victoria revealed that she’d “sprayed them myself”.
“Can you make a video on how you fitted the shower screen?” another pleaded.
“Seal the back of the the bracket with clear silicone,” Victoria replied.
“Attach to the wall with 3 screws and raw plugs, then slide the screen into place.
“Hold it while you fix three more screws down the inside of the frame.”
