A WOMAN has been left in shock after what was supposed to be a cute, hidden, tattoo, ended in disaster.
Wilma Hägglund, had planned to get the world “meow” inked on the inside of her lip.
Because of the placement of the tattoo, you wouldn’t be able to see it unless she pulled her lip down.
However, after she got the inking done, Wilma realised that the word had been etched onto the outside of her lip.
After looking in the mirror, Wilma was left in tears at the mistake.
Sharing the blunder on TikTok, she said: “Got tattooed on the wrong place in my f****** mouth.”
She then shared a picture of her mouth, with “Meow” scrawled in black capital letters on her bottom lip, next to a photo of the intended tattoo, with a woman with the word on the inside of her lip.
In a second clip, Wilma shared that the tattoo has now thankfully been removed.
“It’s gone, thank god for laser”, she said.
Laser tattoo removal can be painful and expensive, depending on the size and placement of the tattoo.
You will usually need multiple sessions to remove the tattoo fully.
Wilma’s video, which was posted under the username @wilmah10, has likely left many people open-mouthed, as it has racked up over 1.2 million views.
Many social media users were left baffled by how Wilma didn’t notice that the tattooist was tattooing the outside of her mouth.
Other people blamed her for not being clear enough with her instructions, whilst some even thought the video was fake.
One user said: “How did you not feel where the tattoo was being placed?”
Another added: “I’m literally mad that you just didn’t notice or say anything like this is on you.”
1. Think, think and think some more
Tattoos done on a whim are far more likely to lead to regret than a tattoo you thought long and hard about. Think about why you want what you’ve chosen. And if you still want it after a few months, then get it.
2. Age restrictions apply
You must be 18 years old to be tattooed in the UK.
3. Don’t haggle over the price
When you go to a tattoo shop the price is the price. You are paying for an artist’s time and skills, they charge what they believe those things are worth.
4. Don’t get tattooed while you’re hungry
Eat before you go for your tattoo session and make sure you’re hydrated. You’re about to be subjected to a period of sustained physical discomfort, if you’re feeling a little weak from hunger or you’re dehydrated things will not go as smoothly as they should.
5. Don’t drink alcohol before you get tattooed
If you are drunk or under the influence of drugs, don’t go for a tattoo. In fact, if your tattooist has anything at all about them they will turn you away if you are clearly under the influence of any intoxicating substances. I’d also avoid drinking the night before, even a few drinks will thin your blood and make your bleed more.
A third person said: “I am genuinely so happy that you were able to have that removed.”
A fourth said: “Why would you do that in the first place?”
And Wilma isn’t the only one to have a tattoo related blunder.
One man was recently blasted online over a forearm tattoo which was supposed to read: “Too young to die, too fast to live.”
Many pointed out that “to” had been used instead of “too” and that the font made the word “die” look like “pie” meaning that the tattoo read “to young to pie.”
