ALDI’S famous middle aisle is a known treasure trove for homeware, beauty goods and kitchen tools.
But every now and again, the budget supermarket throws some fashion into the mix – namely it’s ALDImania tops and trainers.
And after a brief style hiatus, Aldi designers have dropped brand new Converse dupes.
They have created copycats of the shoe brand’s iconic Chuck Taylor All Star designs, both in high and low-tops.
But while the designer kicks will set you back £60 to £65 a pop, the ALDImania Trainers cost just £8.99 a pair.
“You’ll feel and look great in these comfortable Canvas Style ALDImania Trainers,” Aldi bosses said.
“Functional and stylish trainers, available in rainbow colours, these shoes are sure to brighten up your wardrobe.”
The German supermarket’s social media team took to Instagram to promote the new kicks.
“I need these!” Scotty Goodwin beamed in the comments. .
“These are bloody brilliant,” Alex Wright echoed.
“Really love these,” Carole Russell added.
A fourth shopper joked: “These are ‘fire’ as I think the cool kids now say.”
Canvas trainers, like ALDImania’s and Converse’s, are an incredibly versatile choice for conscious shoppers.
They easily pair with most outfits, from office wear to summer dresses, making them a cult favourite shoe.
The simple design of canvas sneaks is often pinpointed by minimalist lines and classic colours, meaning it never goes out of fashion.
ALDImania’s high-top versions come in blue and white, while the low-top versions feature a rainbow design.
The rainbow kicks are available in sizes 4 to 9, while the blue ones come in sizes 6 to 11.
Aldi is offering one lucky shopper the chance to get a pair of the kicks for free.
“We’ve got plenty of ‘all-star’ deals in store, including these timeless ALDImania Canvas Trainers,” the team penned on social media.
“Make sure you’re following us and comment your size for the chance to win a pair for yourself.”
To enter, you simply need to visit the Aisle of Aldi Specialbuys Instagram page (@aldispecialbuysuk) and comment your shoe size under the picture of its Converse dupes.
