A WOMAN who asked her hairdresser for a Sabrina Carpenter-style fringe was left shocked after seeing the results.
Her sister Dana – who posts under @danadelaney0 – uploaded a video sharing the story and showing some before and after shots.
She wrote: “My sister wanted to get bangs, I tried to tell her no.”
Dana then uploaded a photo that her sister had shown the hairdresser, which showed a blonde woman with a sweeping curtain fringe – similar to the one seen on Espresso singer Sabrina.
The sister then showed the selfies her sister had sent her after leaving the salon – and sadly they looked nothing alike.
Instead of sweeping to either side, the woman had been given a full fringe that wasn’t even length.
Dana clearly saw the funny side of the incident, as she shared a number of celebrities who she thought had a similar hair fail.
One included Jim Carrey’s character Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber.
Dana added: “@Sabrina Carpenter please pay for my sister’s chop.”
Her video has racked up over 52,000 likes, and people were quick to chime in with their views.
One person suggested the hairdresser had done it in an act of revenge and suggested: “Was she talking to the stylists husband because why?!”
A second added: “Time to switch stylists.”
And a third commented: “I saw this last night I was literally thinking of doing the same type of bang.
“CRISIS AVVERTED.”
If you are desperate to have Sabrina Carpenter’s 70s-style fringe, thankfully a hair professional revealed what you should ask your stylist for.
Monique McMahon, founder of Que Colour, told Elle: “Make sure you ask for a front fringe that’s not too thick and blocky.
“Sabrina’s fringe is quite whimsical, with wispy, feathered ends.
“Ask to have your layers connected from the fringe down through the face, with face framing layers to compliment your cheekbones and jawline.”
