I REVEALED last week that Sabrina Carpenter had dumped actor Barry Keoghan over his party lifestyle.
But now the US singer has admitted that “the shortest relationships affected her most” after splitting from the BAFTA winner following a whirlwind eight-month romance.
Sabrina dropped album Short n’ Sweet on Friday and agreed that it addressed “getting through the heartache and heartbreak that can really break you for a long time”.
Discussing the songs with podcast host Zane Lowe, she added: “I called it Short n’ Sweet for multiple reasons.
“I thought about some of these relationships and how some of them were the shortest I’ve ever had and they affected me the most.”
But she doesn’t seem too affected by it in the video for single Taste — in which she is seen snogging Wednesday actress Jenna Ortega.
She called on her gal pal after using ex Barry in the video for single Please Please Please in June, in which she sings about him not damaging her reputation.
She enjoyed working with him on the video, and this week said: “I’m very honoured and I got to work with such a great actor.”
Dubliner Barry and Sabrina, who opened for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour, were first linked in December last year and they enjoyed a whirlwind romance.
Talking about her love life, she told Zane: “I’ve always yearned to care enough about a person that it provokes that much feeling in me, as that’s why we’re here.
“You come out the other end bruised and scorned or a little funnier and smarter. Maybe both.”
The former Disney star also revealed how her mum Elizabeth helped her through a rough patch a couple of weeks ago.
She said: “My mum was like: ‘You need to go outside and put your feet on the grass and the dirt’. I was like: ‘That is stupid.’
“She said, ‘Your feet have been touching the inside of your house or the plane or the hotel. They need to touch the actual earth’.”
Seems like Sabrina has her feet firmly on the ground now.

It seems something is definitely cooking after the As It Was singer has been spotted hanging out in London with band members Yaffra and Pauli Lovejoy in London earlier this week.
The trio were spotted having a stroll in the capital as well as watching Irish band Fontaines D.C at the Electric Ballroom in Camden on Thursday alongside Florence Welch and Bobby Gillespie.
It comes after the former One Direction star was also seen chilling with DJ Fred Again last week and the Haim sisters Este, Danielle and Alana.
Earlier this month I revealed that Harry was spotted grabbing dinner with neo-soul singer Olivia Dean at high street burger chain Five Guys.
An insider said: “Harry and Olivia have known each other for a while.
They have loads in common with their music taste and are enjoying getting to know each other out of the spotlight.”
It seems that Harry is soaking up plenty of inspiration from his musical peers while he is hanging out in the capital.

Sharing a snap of a baby’s foot and Hailey’s manicured hand, he told his 294 million Instagram followers: “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER.”
Hailey posted the same photo to her Instagram stories with the child’s name and a teddy bear and blue heart emoji.

IT LOOKS like Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner have made their romance permanent.
The couple have been soaking up the sun during a romantic getaway in Ibiza this week.
But my eagle-eyed sources tell me that the pair have recently got matching tattoos.
Taking a closer look, Dua and Callum seem to have “sonate” inked on their skin.
It could be a nod to the word “sonata” – a musical composition.
The couple, who confirmed their relationship in January, have both chosen to place the word across their chests.
Dua has been celebrating her 29th birthday on the White Isle with Callum and revealed how “life just keeps getting better”.
She added: “Annual pilgrimage to the island to celebrate my next lap around the sun.”
We can’t wait to see what Dua has in store for her 30th next year.

PIXIE LOTT has used her battle with insomnia as inspiration for her comeback album, Encino.
She was left “broken” by her stint in West End hit Breakfast At Tiffany’s eight years ago.
Now Pixie has written about insomnia on new single Midnight Trash, with the album due out next month.
Speaking to Biz on Sunday, she said: “I had a really tough time shaking off that whole experience. I wasn’t myself for a long while and the no sleeping was a chunk of that time.”
Pixie, who welcomed her first child Albert with husband Oliver Cheshire last year, added: “Then sleeping is interrupted in a different way.”
