THERE’S nothing worse than checking in for your flight, only to find you’ve overpacked.
Either they make you unpack and chuck stuff away, or you’re charged an often extortionate fee to cover the excess.
Faith took to TikTok to share her airport hack that’s perfect for anyone who overpacks[/caption] She and her friend picked up a £1 Boots bag at the airport, and then used it to shove their excess bits inside[/caption]But one woman claims to have found the best travel hack that “always works a dream”.
Faith took to TikTok to share her clever trick, as she showed herself and a friend happily carrying reusable £1 Boots bags alongside their tote bags.
“Travel tip – bring a second plastic bag full of stuff and buy a Boots/duty free bag at the airport so they think you’ve just bought stuff at the airport!” she wrote over the top of the video.
The clip then showed inside one of the bags, inside which was another plastic bag crammed with bits and bobs.
“This is one for my overpacking girlies…” Faith wrote alongside the video.
“Always works a dream – never been charged for a second bag!”
But the comments section was quickly filled with people insisting Faith should have “gatekept” the secret hack.
“Stop telling people, ruin it for the people that have been doing it for years!” one raged.
“Please don’t expose our secrets like that,” another said.
As a third wrote: “Now the airlines are going to find out and check the extra bags!
“Shouldn’t have posted itttt – keep it a secret!”
But others admitted they’d been using the hack for years to be able to take more stuff away with them for free.
“Been doing this for years. Works every time!” one wrote.
“Never had a problem getting past Ryanair!”
“Been doing this for years, works even with EasyJet and Ryanair!” another said.
“I did this for Ibiza last week!!” a third admitted.
“Best hack there,” someone else said.
As another wrote: “I love finding my fellow travel crooks!”
“Done this for years – works every time,” someone else insisted.
“Me with a WHS bag. Every. Single. Time,” another laughed.
While someone else tagged their friend and wrote: “The fact we thought we were so smart and innovative with this hack and turns out so many people do it!”
“This is ULTIMATE girl math,” another praised.
