A MOM and daughter duo are raising their babies at the same time after each gave birth in the same year.
Lexi Hodges, 26, was in complete shock when she found out she was pregnant shortly after her mother, Brigitte Zittrouer, 47, had twins.
Now Brigitte’s five-year-old boys are uncles to Lexi’s four-year-old.
Lexi and her mom have become best friends since going through their pregnancies together.
The pair even attended appointments side by side and were able to compare the symptoms.
“My mom had a C-section and I ended up having to have one too so it was nice having someone that could help me recover and know what I was going through,” said Lexi.
Brigitte, from Rocky Ford, Georgia, already has three adult children.
But after she found love again since being divorced, she decided it was time to grow the family even more.
Her new partner had no children of his own, so she wanted to give him the opportunity to experience being a father.
She gave birth to her twin sons, Banks, and Briar, in February 2019.
She says she knew it was coming since this pregnancy felt different than her others.
Her daughter Lexi gave birth to her son, Cash, just a few months later in November, with her mom by her side to support her through the process she’d just been through herself.
Lexi explained how the boys have grown up practically as siblings, spending most days together as Cash begs his mom to go and see his uncles.
The mom and daughter duo have been learning how to raise their children together, with Brigitte being there to guide Lexi, as she is new to parenthood.
The family often gathers at Brigitte’s house, which she said can sometimes “get messy,” but she doesn’t mind, referring to the boys as “her triplets.”
“Watching them grow up together has been the biggest blessing and the best days of my life so far,” said Brigitte.

“It definitely was crazy but I am so close to my daughter — we are more like best friends — now that she is an adult, so it was so fun to experience these things with her.
“I knew in my heart from the start that it was twins because it was such a different pregnancy experience than my others.
“I was excited but anxious about being older and having two babies to take care of.
“Once you have twins, adding more doesn’t make it any harder. I like to call them my triplets!

Lexi said it was fun to go the doctor together, discuss similar symptoms, and pick out their baby registries withe each other.
“An average day is very chaotic with all of the kids running around, toys flying everywhere, and having to play referee between the boys,” Lexi said.
“They love playing outside together and getting dirty.
“They are as close as siblings. My son wakes up every day asking if we can go to Banks and Briar’s house!
“When my mom first had the twins, it was hard for her to spend time with her grandchildren and bond with them because she had to take care of the twins, but now that they are older, it isn’t so bad.
“He always has someone to play with and he never has to feel alone!”
