LAURYN Goodman has been mum-shamed for her son Kairo’s designer bedroom they claim doesn’t look like a “childs room.”
The influencer, 34, who shares her son Kairo, four, and a daughter only known as KW with professional footballer Kyle Walker, took to Instagram to share his newly decorated room.
Lauryn Goodman has turned her sons room into a ‘sanctuary’[/caption] But people are trolling her for the new bedroom[/caption]The pictures show how she transformed his room into a blue “sanctuary” with “lots of textures for the cosy” room.
Lauryn wrote in the Instagram caption: “Creating a cute sanctuary for this gorgeous little boy @kairowalker was a dream.
“Lots of textures for the cosy, toy and book storage for the practical, larger bed as he grows, and subtly themed lighting, for his favourite sport.”
The carpeted room has a white double bed with a padded headboard that has blue lining stitched around it.
She has decorated it with a blue duvet cover, with matching pillows and a chest at the end of the bed.
The model kept things chic and classic by keeping the walls free from decoration, except for a simple elephant piece of art.
Either side of the bed, Lauryn has added gold lampshades and blue bedside tables.
And although the room has gained lots of compliments, many believe his room looks more “like a hotel” than a child’s bedroom.
One wrote: “It’s lovely but looks more like a hotel room then a four-year-olds bedroom”
“No offence but this isn’t a child’s bedroom,” another added.
But Lauryn defended herself, and was quick to comment back.
She wrote: “Yeah this is his bedroom so a child’s bedroom lol.
“He loves it, his play floor is downstairs and he goes to sleep here.”
Another added: “Sorry but that doesn’t look like a child’s bedroom, that looks like it’s one for an adult.”
Lauryn felt the need to defend herself again, and replied: “That’s ok. We see bedrooms for sleeping and all his fun stuff is on his play floor. He just sleeps in there and loves it.”
She has kept to a blue theme for her son’s bedroom[/caption] The four-year-old has a double bed with a padded headboard[/caption] Lauryn and Kyle share two children together[/caption]But there were others who defended the mum-of-two and praised her for her good work.
An Instagram user said: “Shame Kyle can’t see the “lifestyle” you provide for his children… he should.
“Be looking after all his children! So unfair you had to do this alone. All on mummy power! You got this… bet he’s paying the bare minimum!”
Another fan stuck up for her and wrote: “As she says, she has a playroom for her babies, so I think it’s a good idea to have toys in there as well, sanctuary for sleep, if I had space I’d be the same.”
Someone else added: “Don’t know what people are moaning at, this room is gorgeous! What a lucky little boy. You’ve done a great job mumma.”
