A BABY boy was found dead by his devastated parents in the early hours of the morning, an inquest has heard.
The child, Toby Luca Thorngate, from Llanharan, Wales, died in on June 26, the hearing today was told.
Just two months earlier, on April 16, Toby was born via caesarean at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Bridgend.
He was found lifeless by his parents at their home in Llanharan, WalesOnline reports.
The child’s mother immediately began CPR on the boy, and his father called 999, it was said.
Area coroner for south Wales central, Patricia Morgan, heard at today’s inquest that paramedics quickly arrived, but the child could not be saved.
A post-mortem found the child’s medical cause of death as unascertained.
The inquest was adjourned until a later time so more information can be gathered.
