CADBURY has launched a retro Christmas selection box including a classic 90s bar that recently returned to the shelves.
The selection box, marking the company‘s 200th anniversary, features some of the most popular chocolate bars.
It includes Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chocolate, Top Deck, Caramel, and Fruit & Nut bars.
Cadbury brought back its popular Top Deck bar just weeks ago, and shoppers have been rushing to supermarkets to buy it.
The confectionery maker announced in June that it would be re-launching the nostalgic snack, which first launched in 1993, in the UK.
The festive retro box, which is one of several Christmas specials, has a recommended retail price (RRP) of £8, Cadbury said.
On Cadbury’s website, the 180g Dairy Milk Chocolate bar included in the selection box costs £2.49.
The retro Top Deck bar has only just returned to the shelves – and Sainsbury’s sells it for £1.85, or £1.65 with a Nectar card.
When bought as a single item, Cadbury’s Caramel bar costs £1.85 at Waitrose and Sainsbury’s.
The Fruit & Nut bar costs £2 at Sainsbury’s and £1.85 at Waitrose.
Adding up the single chocolate bars, you would pay would be around £8.
The price could be a bit higher or lower based on the Nectar discount or any other offer at supermarkets.
This means the selection box, priced at £8, doesn’t charge you extra money compared to buying each bar individually – and on top of that, it could be a good idea for a Christmas gift.
However, keep in mind that supermarkets can set their own prices, so the box might not cost the same everywhere.
It’s always worth checking what your local supermarket has in store.
The 200th anniversary box is not the only box available over the festive period.
You can also buy a selection box featuring a Dairy Milk bar, a sharing bag of Buttons, a box of Fingers and a Twirl bar.
For those who love chocolate Buttons, there’s also a box featuring only this chocolate treat.
It includes 300g worth of white, orange, caramel and milk chocolate Buttons.
Cadbury said its Dairy Milk Advent Calendar will also be available at retailers nationwide from September 2024 through to Christmas, for as long as stocks last.
It has a RRP of £4.99 and includes a combination of white and milk chocolate.
The company also sells an advent calendar with Toblerone chocolate which costs £11.11.

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed on flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for supermarket’s own brand bars.
Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
The Top Deck bar was available to buy in Britain up until the 2000s but then it vanished from shelves.
Other countries such as Australia and South Africa continue to sell the product.
“Cadbury’s Top Deck is back….spotted at Tesco,” said one shopper, posting a photo in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
“This was my fave,” replied one nostalgic user.
“I remember this,” wrote another excited shopper.
