A source told The Sun: “Charlotte has turned to Helen for support after she found out what Matt had been up to.
“Helen has been through her fair share of issues and a very public split, so she completely understands what Charlotte is going through.
“They have always been mates but are closer than ever now.
“Helen was at Jude’s party over the weekend and was making sure Charlotte was OK.”
Last week it was revealed that friends of the former Ex On The Beach star claimed rugby league player Matt sent intimate messages to someone else.
Charlotte vowed to put their kids first as she hosted their son Jude’s first birthday – on the day she found out about the messages.
In the most recent episode of her podcast Naughty Corner, which came out today, Charlotte spoke about her relationship with Matt.
“Me and Matthew, we bicker like an old married couple,” she told guest Corrie star Helen Flanagan.
“We do argue. I think it’s healthy to argue. It’s hard.
“You put pictures on Instagram looking all happy, because that’s what we do, we don’t put all the bad times on Instagram because you just don’t.”
Helen then went on to talk about arguing while in a relationship and her split from Scott Sinclair.
The pair, who share Matilda, eight, Delilah, five, and three-year-old Charlie, split in 2022 after 13 years together.
Charlotte told the actress: “Me and Matt would hate each other if we separated.
She then asked if she’d had sex with her ex since breaking up, to which she said: “I couldn’t possibly answer that”.
Charlotte confessed: “I think me and Matthew would be at it like rabbits if we broke up because we actually said to each other…”
Here is her emotional statement in full.
In a message posted on Instagram she said: “I’ve had loads of messages regarding mine and Matthew’s relationship and I wanted to just be honest with all of you as I navigate through this.
“I was in complete shock and devastated.
“Whilst so many of you have been kind and caring, there have been a number of people that have said I’ve sold this story for money.
“This is completely fales and I would never do this to my family or myself.
“The story was sold by the girl and I have no idea who she is.
“I’m extremely hurt, upset and disappointed about the situation.
“It’s hard enough going through something like this in private, let alone publicly.
“My only focus right now is on my beautiful boys as they are my main priority.
“Thank you to everyone who has shared their love and support. It doesn’t go unnoticed.”
Charlotte, 31, has been engaged to her partner Matt Sarsfield since September 2020.
