THE pool roadshow is back in action with Germany hosting Europe’s top players for huge prize money.
Just two months after winning the world title, American star Fedor Gorst is in action at the European Open Pool Championship, as is British star Jayson Shaw and defending champion David Alcaide.
Find out all the information, as well as the latest fixtures and results, as players battle for a huge prize fund.
The European Open Pool Championship started on Tuesday, August 6 with the final set for Sunday, August 11.
First started in 2022, it takes place at the Hotel Esperanto in Fulda, Germany, and is one of the most lucrative competitions on the World Nineball Pool Tour.
Matches kick off at 9am BST every day and run into the evening with play usually ending at around 9pm.
There are dozens of tables of action, with 256 players in action and it is a double-elimination competition – meaning a defeat is not necessarily the end of a player’s chances, with four loser rounds allowing them to progress.
The loser rounds are a race to eight.
The nine-ball tournament is a race to nine frames, until the last 16 where it becomes a race to 11 frames, at which stage the tournament also becomes single elimination.
The early rounds of the tournament are available to stream live on the Matchroom Pool YouTube channel – although only table one is available to watch.
Sky Sports Mix will host coverage from the quarter-finals onwards, with two sessions at 11am BST and then 5.30pm BST.
