A WOMAN has revealed how she sold her four-bed house to turn two caravans into her dream home.
Maria Alison, from the UK, took to social media to show off the process but it left many wondering why she would switch out a house for a motor home.
In the clip, she wrote: “Sold four-bed house, bought two very ugly caravans and made one very cute caravan.”
Maria revealed she wanted to move six hours away from her previous area, but the prices for houses was far too high.
Instead, she opted to buy two static caravans and join them together to save herself some money.
In the clip she showed off the two caravans which had been joint together to create large L shape.
Maria was able to do so by cutting the walls of the caravan and placing them as close together.
In the gaps, she filled it up with insulation to keep it warm and stop any moisture from getting inside and then created a frame to attach the two together.
Prior to the transformation the caravans looked typical and outdated with sad wooden interiors and blue carpets which she quickly ripped up.
She then took out both of the kitchens from the caravans and created her own pink one kitted with a pink kettle, toaster and dining area.
The now massive front room was transformed with a giant pink carpet and pink accessories and a fireplace to keep warm in the winter.
She also painted thew entire bathroom pink as well as her bedroom which featured a double bed.
Many people also asked how she got planning permission for the caravans but maria had found a loophole.
The caravans were on her mum’s land and next to her mum, so technically Maria’s permanent home was her mums rather than the caravans.
She also revealed that the rules in Scotland, where she was living were different and because it had wheels, it didn’t need permission to be on the land.
The clip posted to her TikTok account @pinkhomeofmaria has since gone viral with over 1.3 million views and 43k likes.

Living with another person immediately cuts down on personal space, but remove several rooms, and I’d be left with only the bathroom as my sanctuary. I’m not sure I’d be able to cope!
I’m like a magpie, I like collecting pretty things, and I like my belongings to be organised. With limited storage space, I’d find it really hard to keep everything neat and tidy.
One of the joys of being an independent adult is being able to host – friends, family, overnight stays, and dinner parties. Where would I gather everyone for a Sunday lunch if my table only sat two? Not to mention, how would I cook a Sunday lunch?
Both as an individual, as part of a couple and also my hobbies, can be restricted by physical space. When I first moved into my flat, I was overjoyed at having my own balcony, and it has been a space where my love for gardening has grown. Five years on, my balcony is now overflowing with plants, and I’ve had to set up a mini propagator in the living room!

“I loved myself but also wanted to move away. So I’ve moved but the house prices are a lot more expensive up here for what I want. So I’m just going to bide my time and save rather than jump into anything,” replied Maria.
