A FRUGAL shopper has devised a skin-saving routine with deals from Dollar Tree.
Her budget-friendly haul helped her turn back time.
Redditor Username111312 was on a mission to smoothen her dry and oily combination skin with one shopping trip.
It seemed she had achieved her skincare goals and reduced blemishes without breaking the bank.
“I plan to stick with this routine and try it out. So far it’s been a week and I have been seeing great results compared to my old non-existent skincare routine,” she said.
“I have noticed a dramatic reduction in redness and irritation, and also less oil production near the end of the day with more consistent moisturizing hydration,” she continued.
“I wanted affordable and easy-to-buy products that contain common skincare ingredients that are most often sought for. Dollar Tree had them all.”
At $1.25 each, her five products in total, which gave her anti-aging results in both her morning and nighttime routines, set her back less than $7.
One of her favorites was the Skin Nutrition Botanicals Vitamin C Serum.
She shared how the serum “protects the skin during the day from free radicals and pollutants while also brightening and boosting collagen production.”
She also swore by the Creme De Skin Creations Retinol Night Serum she had picked up.
The shopper shared how the main ingredient helped to initiate skin cell turnover by “both promoting rapid exfoliation and stimulation of collagen and elastin.”
A jar of Global Beauty Care Hyaluronic Acid was also doing the reducing redness trick.
She was a fan of the cream’s “moisturizing/skin-flexibility and hydration barrier.”
Washing away her blemishes was also possible with her Just4U Oil-Free Acne Wash 2% Salicylic Acid.
She explained how the BHA in the form of salicylic acid helps open pores while exfoliating and stimulating the epidermis.
