DISGRUNTLED Samsung users are switching to Apple – and the new features have them stunned.
One Reddit user revealed he’d swapped out his old Android for an iPhone 15 Pro in a post from July 24.
After making the switch to the iPhone 15 Pro, a former Samsung user raved about the productivity tools and improved design[/caption]“Everything on here feels so much more polished,” the user proclaimed.
“The animations, the action button, everything just seems so much more thought out.”
The tech giant has been fine-tuning the iPhone display for years and redesigning the hardware and the software.
One new addition is a tiny button on the side of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, replacing the traditional ring/silent switch.
The button is fully customizable, allowing users to choose which function it performs when pressed.
“And the Dynamic Island, it’s way more useful than I thought it would be,” the Redditor continued.
Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped tab at the top of the screen, was introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models in 2022.
The tab gives users a peek at activities in progress, like phone calls or Voice Memo recordings, and displays alerts.
It will appear at the top of your Home Screen or the top of the active app whenever your phone is unlocked.
The Redditor also praised the phone’s StandBy mode, calling it “genius.”
Apple’s StandBy function can transform an iPhone into a bedside clock or a photo frame at rest.
It is also easy to use. Go to Settings, then StandBy to ensure the feature is enabled.
Connect your iPhone to a charger, rest it on its side, and press the side button.
You can swipe left or right to switch between widgets, photos, and clocks and swipe up or down to scroll between views.
And there’s more. When Night Mode is turned on, the screen displays items with a red tint to prevent disturbing your sleep.
In addition to the slew of impressive features, the user praised Apple’s customer service and trade-in offers[/caption]In addition to the unique features, the Reddit user lauded Apple‘s in-store care, calling it “unmatched.”
“A technician even put on a screen protector for me and helped me transfer my pictures,” the user wrote. “And I got $300 from the old Android!”
Apple is known for offering competitive trade-in perks and deals.
Discounts through the Education Store, for instance, can shave hundreds of dollars off purchases – though you must be enrolled in school to qualify.
Customers can trade their devices online or in person at the Apple Store.
