FANS were thrilled when it was revealed that Interview with the Vampire was returning for another series.
Now in its second season, the smash hit BBC drama is an adaptation of Anne Rice’s bestselling book about a vampire telling his life story.

Louis is particularly uneasy with the introduction of Lestat’s newest recruit, the teenage vampire Claudia.
Jacob Anderson plays Louis de Pointe du Lac, a 145-year-old vampire.
Fans watch as he summons Daniel Molloy to interview him about his life.
Speaking about his character, Jacob told Vulture: “I do think Louis is a monogamous creature.
“He wants a traditional family structure within this relationship with Lestat.
“Lestat being like, ‘Yeah, you can do what you want’ — that spins him out.”
Away from the show and actor Jacob is best known for playing Grey Worm in Game of Thrones.
In the movie the character of Louis was played by Brad Pitt.
Sam Reid takes on the role of Lestat de Lioncourt.
His character is a hedonistic French vampire who falls in love with Louis upon his arrival in New Orleans.
He later turns Louis into a vampire but is irritated by Louis’ preoccupation with humans.
Fans will recognise actor Sam from Prime Suspect 1973.
The film saw Tom Cruise play Lestat.
The role of Daniel Molloy is played by Eric Bogosian.
The actor is best known for his shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Scrubs.
In Interview with the Vampire his character is a cynical journalist in his 70s with Parkinson’s disease and a long history of drug and alcohol abuse.
Daniel is the one who Louis entrusts with his life story.
The role of Claudia was made famous by Kristin Dunst who shot to fame playing the part in the 1994 movie.
The character is a 14-year-old girl who Lestat turns into a vampire at Louis’ insistence to save her life.
She forms a daughter-father relationship with the pair and struggles with her fate as an eternal teenager.
For season two actress Delainey Hayles plays Claudia, and this is her breakout role.
The part was previously played by Bailey Bass, but the actress quit after just one season.
The character of Armand is a 514-year-old vampire who is Louis’ current lover.
He first appears under the disguise of Rashid, Louis’ dutiful servant.
Fans may know actor Assad Zaman from shows like Apple Tree Yard.
Interview with the Vampire season 2 kicks off on BBC Two at 9pm on August 1, 2024.
The show will then continue for eight weeks, airing at the same time.
