A WOMAN has left the internet totally divided over her wedding guest dress which people reckon would steal the limelight.
The wedding season is in full swing and amongst those celebrating love was also Emily Rae who recently attended nuptials in Derbyshire.
But although the young dancer, from London, looked incredible on the big day, her OTT frock stirred quite the debate on TikTok, where some reckoned she was trying to upstage the bride.
Determined to look her best and ”pull up” in true style, the blonde had ordered a glamorous mini gown she’d spotted on ASOS, which cost her an eye-watering £110.
The frilled dress, which boasted a pink floral pattern, featured an extravagant ruffle and ruched detailing with a sexy V-neckline.
Meanwhile, the corset-style waist snatched her toned figure and made for a flattering silhouette, with a leggy display that’s sure to make heads turn.
Before heading out to the ceremony, Emily decided to complete the glam fit with a bright golden clutch, chain-like earrings, a massive pair of sunnies and gorgeous heels.
Sticking to the baby pink theme, the fashionista had kept the make-up light and blushing too, going for a glossy pink lipstick, a blinding highlighter, as well as an eyeshadow of the same hue.
All chuffed with the final outfit, the wedding guest said: ”It’s giving floral pixie, 90s girl princess.
”ASOS never fails. I’ve got a very important wedding today and I just knew there’s one place I’m going – and that’s ASOS.
”It’s giving frill, it’s giving snatched waist, it’s giving ‘I’m a tall girl and it still fits me’.”
Praising the fast fashion retailer and the designer behind the frock, Emily said that this was her ”favourite dress” she’s ever had in her wardrobe – and advised fellow shoppers to not sleep on the £110 find.
Unfortunately for the dancing whizz, the reaction on social media, where the video has racked up almost 300k views, was not all positive.
Hundreds of TikTok fans flocked to comments to share their thoughts, with some insisting she would steal the show – and not in a good way.
”It’s giving centre of attention’,” thought one critic of the mini frock, as another said it was ”giving uninvited”.
”To a wedding?” a person was stunned as others thought ”everyone” would star at Emily – ”and not the bride”.

Josie Griffiths said: I’ll never forget the wedding I went to in October 2022 where a guest wore a white dress.
It was ill-fitting, knee length and looked nothing like an actual wedding dress, but that didn’t stop everyone judging her.
The rules on wedding guest outfits – which are annoyingly loads stricter for women than they are for men – are meant to be about “not upstaging the bride”, which in reality is quite hard to do on someone else’s wedding day.
But if you get it wrong as a guest, you do end up looking a bit silly, and in front of loads of people who don’t know you personally.
It’s just not the occasion for your new white dress, as much as online stores love dumping them in the ‘wedding guest’ section.
I’d avoid anything too tight/short, and ditch super formal gowns unless the dress code calls for them – you don’t want to be in a full length sequin gown at a smart casual event.
Personally I don’t like black dresses either, it isn’t a funeral.
Otherwise you should be pretty safe. Technically wearing red means you’re in love with the groom, but that’s the kind of rule most people would scoff at nowadays.
I do always check what colour the bridesmaids are in, just to be safe, after the Spanish wedding where I watched them walk down the aisle in the exact same dress I’d had in my Asos shopping basket just weeks earlier.
If in doubt, safest to just double check with the bride… but if you’re already doubting your dress that might be all the answer you need.
The glamorous dress – which was compared to ”80’s Xmas decorations” – was certainly not everyone’s cup of tea.
”It’s absolutely hideous I can’t believe they’d make an outfit so revolting,” troll penned.
”I can guarantee you that nobody in the 90’s would wear this monstrosity,” another chimed in.
Luckily, it wasn’t all harsh criticism, as there were also dozens of those who were obsessed with the pink fit.
”You look UNREAL!! asos do some gorgeous unique pieces,” a fellow fan of the online retailer said.
”It’s stunning I wish I had the confidence!” someone else commented.
”Beautiful! It’s giving the blonde girl in Bridgerton,” a TikTok user penned.
