WHEN it comes to plastic surgery, some stars are scaling back, according to a celebrity plastic surgeon.
From Blac Chyna to Bella Hadid, Dr. Adam J Rubinstein knows just what the A-listers are altering — or taking out altogether.
Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Rubinstein has shared the most popular procedures celebrities are going under the knife for, as well as shying away from[/caption]The Miami-based Dr. Rubinstein, who previously starred in Lifetime’s My Killer Body with Michelle K, has shared how many stars are sleeping on pillow face.
It seems that many famous faces have had their fill of filler.
“Everyone is scared of being overdone, having what some of us call pillow face from too much filler being pumped in and looking puffy or overfilled,” he told The U.S. Sun.
“Blac Chyna has dissolved a bunch of filler for this reason,” he continued.
One rap star is also pulling back the plastic surgery reins.
“Cardi B is very vocal about having plastic surgery and is a pretty big proponent of you doing whatever you want to do for your own body,” he said.
“Lately, however, she’s kind of backed off and gotten smaller things done,” he added.
“She’s gone in the direction of reducing things instead of pushing forward with more and more procedures.
“There’s a big trend of people going backward and a big voice of celebrities coming out and saying ‘I want to go back in the opposite direction.’
He also added Courteney Cox and Nicole Kidman to the list of the “less is more approach” when it comes to filler.
“I think Hollywood is focusing more on their skincare treatments over anything else,” he said.
He has seen both stars and clients straying from surgical work.
“They’re avoiding having things done or are having them done in a very subtle, more tasteful way, as opposed to a more exaggerated or aggressive way,” he said.
“The pendulum has swung away from wanting to do specific things and going towards doing more minimal touch-ups, etc.”
He also shared which stars have had more extensive work done to get red carpet ready, including Bella Hadid.
Cardi B is another star scaling back on her plastic surgery procedures[/caption]He explained how the model popularized having “fox eyes.”
“The brow shape was kind of lifted in the tail, so that still comes up as something people want to copy,” he said.
She has also famously regretted having a nose job at 14.
Yet another star gave a push to a particular procedure in her quest for plastic perfection.
“Not too long ago, Chrissy Teigen had a buccal fat pad reduction, and that became a trendy procedure to have done for a while, too,” he said.
The technique is meant to slim down the face by removing fat from the cheekbone and jaw area while eliminating puffiness.
Blac Chyna as well as a bevvy of other stars have dissolved their pillow face in favor of a more natural look[/caption]If you want to get a bright-eyed Barbie look like Margot Robbie, Dr. Rubinstein knows just what to do.
“One of the easiest ways to do it is by getting just a little bit of Botox around the eyes to get the corner of your eyebrow lifted,” he said.
“Just a little bit of a lift brightens the appearance of the eyes if you need a little more lift of the brow,” he continued.
He is also a fan of a non-surgical procedure called Software that uses ultrasound energy in a concentrated way in the skin to stimulate collagen production and tighten up the skin.
“It’s a great, no-poking-or-prodding way to put some energy into the skin of the forehead and get that brow to come up pretty impressively and brighten up the appearance of the eyes,” he said.
Dr. Rubinstein has shared how to get a bright-eyed Barbie look like Margot Robbie herself[/caption]He shared just why brows can make a big difference.
“The brow is in a balance with the upper lids. When your brow is low and heavy, it makes the upper lids look heavier,” he said.
“This can make you look tired. When the brow is up, it makes you look bright and awake,” he continued.
“And a lot of times, the brow gets lower as we age.
“By lifting the brow a little bit, you can brighten up the appearance of the eye and make it look more open and fresh.”
This trend of wanting to look “natural” has also trickled down to his clients.
“A lot of people are taking a lead from a lot of celebrities that have come out saying that they don’t want to have plastic surgery,” he said.
