Now, the Saturday Night Live alum, 30, admitted himself to a wellness facility to “prioritize” his mental health, according to People.
“Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues,” a source previously told the magazine.
“His friends and family have been supportive during this time.”
The source added that mental health has “always been a priority” for Davidson since his diagnosis with borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The comedian’s therapist diagnosed him with BPD in 2017 when he was 23.
Sobriety is also a continued focus for the comedian.
Davidson, in the middle of his nationwide Prehab Tour, was forced to cancel scheduled stops.
The tour was set to kick off in Kansas on August 9 and end in Texas on October 14.
Davidson had eight shows lined up for the tour across Kansas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, and Texas that have been canceled on Ticketmaster.
The individual venues released statements to ticketholders that the shows were canceled due to “scheduling conflicts.”
Refunds will be issued to ticketholders. Those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will see their money back on their card automatically.
The changes to the tour were announced shortly after People reported Davidson’s health status.
Davidson previously checked himself into rehab in June 2023 as he continued to struggle with BPD and PTSD.
Davidson then joined comedians John Mulaney and Jon Stewart for a comedy show in Atlantic City, New Jersey, a few months after he checked into the facility.
Pete Davidson has been an A-list star since his debut on Saturday Night Live. Here's a look into his career,
“I am fresh out of rehab, everyone,” he told the crowd during his set, per the Los Angeles Times.
“I got that post-rehab glow. Seventh time’s the charm!”
Davidson explained that he took ketamine daily for four years before checking himself into rehab last summer.
When discussing his experiences with the drug, Davidson joked, “It was magical. One time, I got the Wiggles to mesh with ‘Schindler’s List.”
Davidson admitted that he was on the drug at Aretha Franklin’s funeral in 2018.
“You can’t do drugs in your 30s… it’s not cute anymore,” he added.
Davidson also got candid about his addiction with Glenn Close during a chat with Variety’s Actors On Acting.
“I got diagnosed with BPD a few years ago, and I was always just so confused all the time, and just thought something was wrong, and didn’t know how to deal with it,” he said.
“Then, when somebody finally tells you, the weight of the world feels lifted off your shoulders. You feel so much better.”
It is unclear whether Davidson will reschedule his tour dates and how long he will stay in the treatment facility.
