WITH summer finally here, many of us are sure to be spending an increasing amount of time in our gardens.
But if your outdoor haven is in desperate need of some TLC, but as a result of the cost-of-living crisis you haven’t got the budget to fork out a small fortune, then fear not.
A DIY fan has revealed how she gave her garden a fresh look thanks to a cheap buy from Amazon[/caption]In a recent trend, we are seeing more and more people given their gardens a mega makeover, using cheap buys from Amazon.
And perhaps the best part of all? All you’ll need is a shower curtain – yes, you heard that right.
The popular trend, which sees people buying shower curtains with scenic or exotic prints on them, and hanging them on their garden fence or wall, has taken the internet by storm over the past few years.
And one woman has now proudly revealed that she has given her garden a total transformation using a shower curtain that she bought from Amazon.
Thrilled with her cheap buy, Lisa Maria Longden took to social media to show it off, leaving many open-mouthed.
Sharing her ‘DIY project’, which added style and colour to her space, the brunette beauty asked her followers: “How cool is my new garden shower curtain?”
She gave posed in a bikini and gave fans a close-up look at her exotic shower curtain, which depicts a jungle scene with bright green trees and a stunning waterfall.
Thrilled with her shower curtain, which she hung over her garden fence, Lisa continued: “If I can’t be somewhere exotic, I’ll fetch it here, right in my garden.
“I think it’ll do the job. How amazing is that?”
Lisa later wrote: “I’ve seen loads doing it and I just had to get one.
“What a transformation, amazing isn’t it?
“It’s a whole new world now.”
ANOTHER trend that has taken social media by storm is the shower curtain trend.
The trend sees people buying large shower curtains with fun prints on them, usually of exotic locations, and hanging them on their garden fence or wall.
The idea is to transform dull gardens into something slightly more exciting – and that’s exactly what many homeowners have done.
People attached the water-proof fabric to the fence, creating an optical illusion of a sunny island paradise right in their back yard.
Lisa confirmed that there are numerous lavish designs available to order, as she added: “It’s from Amazon and there’s so many to choose from. There’s hundreds of designs.”
If you fancy giving this trick a try, and giving your garden an overhaul with your very own shower curtain, you can order one online from Amazon now, and prices range from just £3.
With summer finally here, you can easily revamp your garden with a shower curtain. Here is how to check the look:
Eye for design – first, you’ll need to find the perfect print online. Amazon, eBay and Temu have tones of options from faux brick walls to tropical escapes.
You could even create a faux rose bush, with a pretty floral prints – depending on where you hang your shower curtain.
Attention to detail – next, you’ll need to check whether the curtains will fit in your space.
While you can trim them down, it’s best to get the closest fit possible so the design works in your space.
Hung Up – there are endless ways to hang your curtains, it’s best to attach them to a wall, shed or fence with nails.
Alternatively, you could use a staple gun but you need to ensure that the way you attach them lasts.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lisalongden2, has clearly left many impressed, as social media users flocked to the comments to praise Lisa’s idea.
