LADY GAGA is hoping it will be third time lucky after revealing her partner has popped the question.
The US superstar introduced entrepreneur Michael Polansky as her fiance while meeting French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Olympics on Sunday, finally confirming she has got engaged.
According to friends, Gaga is the happiest she’s ever been[/caption] Gaga was previously engaged to Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney[/caption]I’m thrilled for her as she hasn’t had an easy ride in love, but it sounds like she has got a good one this time.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, started dating Michael in early 2020 following the breakdown of two previous engagements.
She got together with Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney in 2011 after he starred in the video to her song You
And then proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2015.
They split the following year.
In 2017 she got together with talent manager Christian Carino and also got engaged, but by 2019 they too had called it quits.
A source close to Gaga told me: “Things are completely different with Michael and Stefani is on cloud nine.
“It sounds cheesy to say she is happier than ever, but she really is.
“She was in a dark space before she met him but he has been a steady, reliable and loving presence in her life and that’s something she hasn’t had for a long time.
“He isn’t in showbiz and isn’t fussed about all the glitz and glamour and that’s been monumental for Stefani.”
It’s not just wedding bells which are ringing in Gaga’s ears.
She has new music on the horizon with her seventh studio album and has suggested she is gearing up to make a return to the stage imminently following her performance at the Olympic opening ceremony on Friday.
As well as that, her movie Joker: Folie a Deux will hit cinemas in October.
All this work should help pay for an out-of-this-world wedding.
THE singer popped out of the sunroof of her car in the French capital on Sunday night to play a snippet of a song which will be on her upcoming seventh album.
She is referring to the collection as LG7.

Gaga wrote on Instagram shortly before her surprise appearance: “I’m so deeply touched by my French fans this week outside the hotel I’m gonna come out and say goodbye tonight with a few seconds of LG7.”
SHE has fallen out with practically everybody in showbiz over the years and now Lilly Allen is revisiting her feud with James Corden.
The Smile singer has branded the hit TV host a “beg friend” – suggesting he reeked of desperation while trying to become her mate when they first met.
Lilly Allen has branded James Corden a ‘beg friend’[/caption]It comes after he accused her in his autobiography of leading him on.
Lily said: “James was a bit of a beg friend for me.
“James came on my chat show and was very flirtatious with me and we sort of made friends and I introduced him to a group of my friends.
“I believe he wrote about it in his book that I was leading him on or something, which I definitely wasn’t.
“If I’ve ever had a famous beggy friend, it was James back in the day.
“He’s not begging me any more and I’m not begging him.
“I can’t do any- thing for him now, he’s good.”
Lily also admitted she has been guilty of the same behaviour.
On her Miss Me? podcast, she recalled: “I remember once being in Brazil and I was on a festival with the band Kasabian.
“There was a party at their hotel and (I remember) heading to the room, knocking on the door and them clearly knowing I was on the other side and not letting me in. I was a nightmare in those days.”
And on a run-in with Jay-Z in 2007, she added: “That was probably the most beggy I’ve ever been.
“He wasn’t having it. He could see through my begginess.”
I’m sure his wife Beyonce will be glad to hear that.
DEADPOOL & Wolverine has smashed the box office in its first weekend in cinemas.
The superhero movie, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the superheroes, made £17.26million here, propelling it straight to No1.
Deadpool & Wolverine has smashed the box office in its first weekend in cinemas[/caption]It is the biggest opening of 2024 and the highest since last summer’s Barbie blockbuster.
And the records keep tumbling.
It is the highest-earning opening for a 15-rated movie and the most successful in the careers of both Ryan and Hugh.
The comic action adventure has also been praised by critics, yet Ryan has insisted there won’t be another instalment in the franchise.
Asked about the possibility, he said: “Oh God no.
“My wife and children will divorce me.
“I have no pre-nup with any of them.
“I will be capital B broke, and in turn, probably then doing Deadpool 4′ ’cause I’d need the money.”
MEGAN THEE STALLION has cracked the code when it comes to packing for her lengthy tour – wearing absolutely tiny outfits on stage.
She stayed cool at Broccoli City Festival in Washington in the States at the weekend, where she danced and sang in this blue bra top and pants-sized shorts.
Her recent records haven’t been big hits on this side of the pond but she proved hugely popular when her tour played here this month.
However, after one more gig in Chicago later this week, I’m told she is planning on throwing herself back into the studio – so don’t be surprised if there is more music from her this year.

Even if the seats were right at the back, that still sounds like a steal.
The superstar has been rehearsing ahead of the opening night on Friday and has a new prop to entertain fans too.
At her Las Vegas shows and last tour she had a gun to fire T-shirts into the crowd.
This time her souped-up bit of kit will shoot up to 13 bits of merch to fans.
The shows will see her perform songs from her 2021 album 30, which she didn’t sing in Vegas – tracks All Night Parking and Woman Like Me have both been heard during soundchecks.
As one of our biggest stars, I’m excited to hear what other surprises she has up her sleeve.
BLUR Live At Wembley Stadium is locked in a race with Swedish heavy metal band Ghost’s album Rite Here, Rite Now for Friday’s No1.
The Brits were just ahead of the three-piece last night.
As much as I love a bit of heavy metal, Blur will always have my heart.
I TOLD in February how Queen could be the next band to be brought to life digitally following the whirlwind success of ABBA Voyage.
ow the band’s guitarist Brian May appears to be getting involved.
He was spotted at the Abba experience in East London on Saturday.
The rocker was there with his actress wife Anita Dobson.
I told how a trademark had been filed for Queen to go into “immersive 3D virtual, augmented and mixed reality experiences”, so I’m sure the visit will have given Brian plenty of ideas.
While there he bumped into Paul Stanley the former frontman of KISS, who have already confimed an avatar show featuring the costumed US rockers.
It’s going to be a novelty to see real people on stage in a few years.
MS. LAURYN HILL & THE FUGEES have extended their joint European tour.
Shows have been added at Dublin’s 3Arena on October 7 and Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on October 9.
The Wales gig is part of Cardiff Music City Festival.
Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday.
The tour will also have stops in Manchester and Lon- don the same month
IT turns out it’s not just Katy Perry who is a stellar singer in her family.
Capital Breakfast DJ Chris Stark has revealed her fiance Orlando Bloom can belt out a song too.
Orland Bloom is reported to have a great sining voice[/caption]During a chat with Katy, Chris said of the actor: “I saw him in a local pub of mine, and this is a true story. He’s a phenomenal singer, I never realised this.
“I was in the same pub as him on St Patrick’s Day, but I didn’t know he was in there and he stood up and started singing this old Irish folk song.
“It was incredible, it was this old song, lost love from another life.”
Asked about his singing voice, Katy admitted Orlando normally only used his pipes “after a couple of pints”, before adding: “I’ve been with him for over nine years, do you not think he’s got some hidden talents? He is great.”
I’ll have to give Katy my best Roar next time I’ve had a couple of Carlings and see what she thinks.
