But whilst on the show, Darryn, 58, acquired notoriety for his perfectly chiseled abs.
However, all was not what it seemed on Celebrity Big Brother as his ripped abdominal muscles were completely fake.
Two years before his TV stint, the paparazzo had fat removal surgery instead of working hard at the gym.
But over a decade later, the former reality star took to Instagram with a shirtless video, as he confirmed to his fans that the ‘muscles’ are still very much present.
However, the pink hair is no more as he instead sports a bleach blonde do.
At the time, he told fellow Big Brother housemate Paddy Doherty about the changes he made to his physique.
“I had contouring done to my body,” Darryn told the eventual winner.
“I had to get really fit and lose a fair bit of weight. It takes away all the fat around it and actually lets your natural abs be there.”
He added: “Basically it’s the male version of a boob job.”
But it seems the television personality has had trouble maintaining the look over the years.
In 2018, he told Daily Mail Australia: “My problem is that all the fat keeps pushing the abs out.
“I’m looking more like a Ninja Turtle these days than a ripped, spartan specimen.”
Two years after he was evicted from the social experiment, Darryn decided to run for political office.
