His biggest fan is his girlfriend Bethany Louise Zajac.
She has made big compromises to support Tom — including moving from her native Yorkshire to live in Andorra with her man.
They have been together since 2019, celebrating their fifth anniversary in April 2024.
Bethany travels to cheer Tom on, and in August 2023 posted a snap from the sidelines of one of his races captioned with: “I’m so proud of you.
“All of the sacrifices, hard work and time away are worth it for hugs like these.”
On an Insta Q&A, she addressed the issue of how she manages when her man is away competing, posting: “Honestly totally okay. So much more important and awful things going on in the world. FaceTime is our best friend.”
According to her Instagram, which has 11,000 followers, she is a project manager and interior designer.
Tom and Bethany do not have any children yet.
But they are the proud parents of two Dachsunds.
Their names are Chestnut and Acorn.

In 2019, he claimed first place for the first time at senior level during the Cyclo Cross National Championships, before retaining the title the following year.
He was part of Bradley Wiggins‘ pro team between 2018 and 2019 before signing for Ineos Grenadiers in 2021.
Tom blew away the rest of the field to claim gold in the cross country mountain biking for Team GB at Tokyo 2020.
In 2022, he struck gold again at the World Championships in the Cyclo Cross, before winning gold in the mountain bike cross-country the following year.
And at Paris 2024, Tom won gold again, heroically fighting back from a punctured tyre for back-to-back wins in the men’s Olympic mountain bike cross-country event.
