‘Real reason’ behind Joey Essex’s bitter Love Island feud revealed by fans

LOVE Island fans have worked out the ‘real reason’ for Joey Essex’ bitter Islander feud.

Last night saw Joey and Jessy Potts dumped from the Love Island villa after receiving the most votes from their former co-stars.

Returning axed stars were tasked with choosing between Joey and Jessy, Ayo Odukoya and Jessica Spencer, Josh Oyinsan and Mimii Ngulube and Sean Stone and Matilda Draper.

Reuben Collins – who left the villa coupled up with the former Towie star’s ex Grace Jackson – unsurprisingly opted to send him and Jessy home.

And Joey made no attempt to hide how unimpressed he was.

After Reuben shared his reasons, he quipped: “I knew the minute he left the villa he was hating anyway.

“It was very obvious what he was going to do.”

Reuben replied: “I respect Joey as a man, however I disagree with the way he handles his relationships.”

However Joey wasn’t done and hit back: “I mean, honestly, one person’s opinion I’ve never cared about in this villa is this man’s. I think he’s jealous. A very jealous person.”

Viewers quickly took to social media to slam Joey for his attitude towards Reuben – insisting there was only one reason for the anger from Joey’s side.

One wrote: ” The vim he had for Reuben was honestly disgusting. I think it’s because he’s with Grace tbh because what other reason could he have to make it so personal with Reuben?”

Another said: “The way he spoke to Reuben felt like total projection. What’s Reuben got to be jealous about?

“He was never interested in Jessy – meanwhile Joey seems to be seething that he couldn’t snap his fingers and have Grace running back to him. So glad that Grace shut him down as soon as he started to make her look like a fool.”

And a third added: “The venom Joey had for Reuben though!!! He’s still seething about Grace.”

After leaving the villa last night Joey and Jessy appeared on Aftersun – where fans insisted they spotted that moment that ‘proves’ he’s faking his feelings.

Host Maya Jama asked him: “You guys are now exclusive, are you going to move her in like you said you would..Is it Essex time?”

He looked panicked and quickly shut down the idea saying: “Moving in?! We’re going back to Essex for sure…umm moving in, we ain’t discussed moving in.”
