Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ father of Lauren Bolton’s unborn baby – and it’s not her evil attacker Joel

LAUREN Bolton’s fate has finally been revealed by Coronation Street writers – but fans aren’t buying it.

The residents of Weatherfield were left panicked when the girl disappeared after being fired from her job at Roy’s Rolls.

When cops went looking for her and found blood splatters in her flat, her former boss was arrested on suspicion of her murder.

However, it turns out that the teen was actually whisked away by abusive boyfriend Joel Deering after he realised she was pregnant.

The twisted solicitor is currently engaged to Dee-Dee and realised that Lauren’s pregnancy coming out would expose him as a cheater, not to mention a groomer.

The troubled teen has been hiding out in a flat Joel pays the rent for, and became financially dependent on him after he threatened her into not telling anyone about the baby.

But viewers are suspicious that Joel is not actually the father of her child.

Lauren originally appeared on Coronation Street as a love interest for a more age appropriate partner, Max Turner (Paddy Bever).

A show spoiler revealed that in upcoming scenes he will rush to her aid as she becomes worried for her baby’s life after being mugged.

Some fans think Max is actually the person responsible for Lauren’s pregnancy.

Speculating about the possibility on social media, one person wrote: “Plot twist: Max is the father of Lauren’s baby and it isn’t Joel’s at all.”

Another chimed in: “Lauren’s bound to give birth at Christmas. It’ll be Max’s baby, not Joel’s.”

A third joked: “Lauren is a female Max. It’d be hilarious if this kid isn’t Joel’s.”

Others thought that even if the baby is Joel’s, Max will step up to the plate as a father once the solicitor’s evil actions are exposed.

Someone suggested: “I can see a similar David/Kylie situation developing with Max taking on Lauren and being a stepdad to the baby in the future.”
