SHOPPERS are racing to Primark to get their hands on a pair of Saint Laurent sunnies dupe – but they’re £282 cheaper than the real deal.
The budget retailer is selling a pair of “bold” sunglasses which are perfect to get your hands on during this week’s high temperatures.
The Squared Cat Eye Sunglasses, which cost £2.50, come in black, red, brown, pink and natural.
Shoppers can get “a bold graphic look with these geometric cat eye sunnies,” which are tinted and made of plastic.
The sunglasses look just like the designer sunglasses by Saint Laurent, called SL 276 Mica and are currently being sold online for £285.
Both sunglasses have a squared eyed shape, with a thick black frame but the Primark sunglasses have a blue tint, whilst the Saint Laurent ones are tinted with grey.
One noticeable difference is Primark’s sunglasses are plain, whilst the designer version features the brand’s name on both arms of the sunglasses.
Many fashion fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts of the “really good quality” Primark sunnies.
Lil Evie, who “can’t trust” herself with buying more expensive sunglasses, shared a video of herself modelling the sunglasses, and wrote: “Primark will always be a bargain for sunglasses.
“They fit so nice.
“I just had to buy them before all the nice ones go. I’m literally obsessed. They are really good quality as well.
“Get yourself down to Primark, £2.50 sunglasses. Primark will always have my heart for sunglasses.”
Primark is famed for selling quality budget clothing, accessories and even homeware – with many shoppers constantly running to stores to get their hands on some bargains.
The high street brand, is currently selling purse-friendly perfumes and haircare to its shelves.
One beauty fan, Corie Holland, took to TikTok to share some of her favourite finds of the latest collection, after falling ”into Primark again”.
She listed a budget version of the viral designer Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk Eau de Toilette, which retails for an eye-watering £60 for a small 30ml bottle.
However, if you can’t justify spending a fortune on a tiny bottle of fragrance, Primark have come to the rescue with their very own version of the posh scent called PS… Sandy Beach, which is the perfect mini perfume for on the go.
Unlike the high-end twin, which comes with 10ml more of the fragrance, Primark’s budget version is a mere £3, saving you a staggering £58 – it’d be impossible to find a better deal.
Another bargain offer Corie spotted whilst browsing the aisles was £3 PS… Free Eau De Parfum, which has been said to be an affordable dupe of Yves Saint Laurent’s £125 Libre.
The cheapest version of the luxury scent is a 30ml bottle for £65, meaning you’ll save at least £62 for getting your dupe on.
BRITS will bask in glorious sunshine tomorrow with temperatures set to reach 29C – but there are thunderstorms to come.
Forecasters said the start of the week will be sunny and very warm in the south and east of England.
Some parts might hit even the heatwave threshold before it cools down later this week.
The Met Office’s temperature map shows the mercury hitting 29C in London at 3pm today.
There will be some hazier sunshine across Scotland, Northern Ireland and north east England.
People in Glasgow and Aberdeen can look forward to rare 20C sunshine this afternoon.
Met Office expert David Hayter said: “The jet stream will weaken to the west of the UK.
“That will generate an area of high pressure that will slowly move in across the UK.
“High pressure means the air is sinking from higher in the atmosphere and that brings drier, settled and sunnier weather.”
But cloud and rain are set push across the north west – with thunderstorms expected by the middle of the week.
From Tuesday onwards it will be breezy and rather cloudy in the north, with a few showers.
The south will enjoy some hazy sunny spells before it gets increasingly muggy.
On Thursday the skies could turn thundery across a large swathe of the country.
But there are currently no Met Office weather or flood warnings in place anywhere in the UK.
Pollen levels are hovering around the average for this time – and are actually lower than normal in parts of Scotland.
