A MAKEUP fan has shared the affordable and unconventional skincare buy she uses to wash her face.
She explained that a $1.25 buy from the car section at Dollar Tree worked wonders to remove her makeup.
Redditor Hiiitsemily2 shared the beauty tip in a post.
“At the Dollar Tree, the white microfiber cloths that you get in the car area (meant for buffing and washing car) is what I use to take off my makeup with,” she said.
She explained that the clothes worked just as well as more expensive makeup erasers.
“They are so soft and are the cheap version of the makeup eraser cloths,” she said.
“But they are huge and you can get so many of them for the price of one makeup eraser cloth.
“I will use the whole cloth itself or I also cut them up and sew them into smaller circles for removing my eye makeup.”
The Makeup Eraser, a makeup remover cloth, goes for $20 at Sephora.
While the microfiber cloth promises to remove all makeup with just water, the Redditor explained that a $1.25 Dollar Tree find, which costs 15 times less, does the exact same thing.
Beauty fans were pleased and surprised by her advice.

Fans of the Dollar Tree’s microfiber cloth revealed that they, too, used it for other purposes.
“I use at my SPA these are insanely soft I couldn’t believe it myself LOL,” said one.
“Extremely soft and a great value. They also wash and dry really well,” said another.
“Awesome everyday use towels,” said a third.
“Great for car wash, spills, dusting, hand towel, and so on!”
One reviewer added that the cloths were thick and warm enough to use as blankets for animal rescue.
“I’m a Wildlife Rehabilitator and use these for baby squirrels, bunnies and more!” they said.
“They all love how snuggly and warm these ‘blankets’ are, and they are the perfect size for my nest boxes!
“Better still is the white color so I can monitor the baby’s poop color to determine the baby’s health.
“They also don’t stain and clean up easily with soap and water in a basin by hand or with cold water in the washing machine and dryer on low.”
