A WOMAN who booked a specific plane seat as a “treat” was gobsmacked when she discovered where it really was – as passengers joked “I’d get off the plane”.

But, upon embarking Jess realised she would have to sit facing the rest of the cabin.
“When you book row 1 as a treat but it turns into you facing the ENTIRE PLANE??”, the mortified passenger captioned her video.
People raced to the comments to share their second embarrassment for the young flyer.
One joked: “I’d actually prefer to ride on the wing.”
Another agreed: “I would legit ask to get off and cancel my ticket, my anxiety could never”.
“That’s my nightmare,” agreed someone else, while others chimed in “I’d honestly leave”.
“I could never survive,” laughed another.
This comes as a flying pro revealed the seat she always books no matter what – even if she’s forced to fork out extra cash.
Many holidaymakers scramble to nab the last window seat for incredible views – but an aviation expert vowed she would never chose one.
Taylor Rain told Business Insider how she is even willing to pay an addition $100 (nearly £80) more for an aisle seat – especially on long-haul flights.
And, another attendant revealed a pre-flight check that can help you find the best seat – and get more space for your hand luggage.
Plus, a former cabin crew member shared the one area on board she would always avoid, while another explained why she chooses a seat in the fifth row.
Meanwhile, some travellers have been surprised to hear how one airline is introducing new seating rules that allow passengers to choose which gender they sit next to.
The controversial, first of its kind, booking option would indicate where female flyers are sitting with pink indicators.
IndiGo, India’s largest budget airline, has plans to roll out the feature to help women feel safer – as men won’t be shown the gender of fellow travellers.
IF you're planning on going away any time soon, you'll need to pay attention to the following unwritten plane etiquette rules...
RECLINING SEAT: Podcast host and etiquette expert Nick Leighton explained that you shouldn’t recline your seat if the passenger behind you is working on their laptop.
He said: “Nobody likes their laptop snapped in half.”
Before you recline your seat, it’s best to check to see what the passenger behind you is doing.
If they are on a laptop, ask before you move your seat back.
FEET: A flight attendant told The Sun: “Your boarding card tells you a number and a letter, this will be the reserved seat that you have paid for.
“Your feet, which are attached to your body, should do their best to reside within this space and stay far away from anyone else.
“If you do insist on stretching out, please make sure your feet are covered up.”
CHAT: TV travel expert Samantha Brown explained that conversations from strangers aren’t welcome, suggesting that others shouldn’t expect a chat.
She added: “I’m not a talker. Plane time is me time.”
