THE largest inflatable obstacle course in the world is set to open in a UK city next week for the first time in its history.
Despite going on a huge UK-wide tour back in 2019, this is the first time the obstacle course will be in Coventry.

The Monster spans for more than 300m, making it the largest inflatable obstacle course in the world.
According to its website, the bouncy course is “bigger, better, bouncier and more bonkers than ever before.”
The snaking course has more than 40 obstacles, including an 18m slide called the Mega Slide.
Other exciting obstacles include the Exterminator and the terrifying House of Hell.
Family-friendly sessions run from 10am until 6pm every day throughout the school summer holidays.
Evening sessions, which run from 6pm until 10pm, are adults-only, with plenty to attract the over 18s, including Drag Queen Karaoke, Boozy Bingo and Mega Beer Pong.
There are other features too, including live DJ sessions and unicorn-themed ball pits.
Food and drink like street food and cocktails will also be sold at the venue.
The Monster will be at Coventry Building Society Arena from August 1, 2024, until September 1, 2024.
Coventry Building Society Arena is a three-minute walk from Coventry Arena Train Station.
Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, told the Coventry Telegraph they were “thrilled” to be hosting The Monster.
Tickets for children under the age of seven are free, while tickets for kids aged between 7 and 16 cost £10 per person, if booked online in advance.
Adult tickets start from £15 per person, with the price of tickets increasing when there’s a themed event taking place.
The Monster has been praised by visitors who’ve tackled the course in previous locations.
On their blong, On in London, one person rote: “I’ll tell the truth! I totally struggled with this obstacle course – I have no upper body strength at all.
“The kids we were with completed the course in less time than us adults did. Everyone had a load of fun and this was certainly helped by the enthusiastic staff.”
Plenty of attractions set to open in London over the coming weeks, including the Paradox Museum, which launched last week.
The exhibit features 25 different crazy rooms with mazes, gravity-defying furniture and mind-bending tunnels.
Much like the Museum Of Ice Cream and the Balloon Museum, this isn’t a museum in the traditional sense – more of an opportunity for plenty of selfies.
But that will suit the hordes of Millennial and Gen Z visitors just fine, because between all the 50 family-friendly interactive displays and optical illusions, there are plenty of Instagrammable moments.
A description on the website reads: “Step into a world where nothing makes sense yet everything feels real. Come, explore, and let paradoxes redefine your reality.”

The huge new exhibition, which is called Taylor Swift | Songbook Trail, will celebrate the creativity of the pop icon’s costumes, music videos and lyrics.
According to the V&A Museum, the exhibition will also explore the artist’s childhood and recording legacy.

Beamish is unlike any typical “museum” in that it’s basically a fully-functioning town in County Durham, offering a genuine look at what life would have been like for people during various stages throughout the past.
It has a miners’ pit village, farms, shops, a pub, a school and even a dentist among its businesses and reconstructions, all created to provide people with an experience as close to stepping back in time as possible.
Recently, it has expanded to include a new 1950s town, which includes a toy shop, a welfare hall and a cinema that has been painstakingly brought in and rebuilt from Ryhope in Sunderland.
If I’m ever up in the north east, I try and make sure I pay a visit to Beamish to make the most of my annual ticket. It’s especially great at Christmas when the skating rink is up and carol singers can be found gathering in the town’s bandstand, along with brass bands if you turn up on the right day.
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery – Hope Brotherton, Travel Reporter
It’s safe to say I fell in love with art, history and culture at this Birmingham-based museum.
Following a four-year closure, the museum partially reopened to the public with an exhibition on Victorian Radicals featuring a collection of paintings from the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
You can bet the next time I visit my hometown, I will be wandering through the exhibition.
