A STAR from The Bill has revealed how much the actors get paid when previous episodes are aired on telly.
The police drama was a big hit in the noughties, but eventually got axed in August 2010.
Gabrielle Glaister, who played PC Dave Quinnan’s ex wife Jenny, took to social media to share the tiny amount she earned from the rerun.
The actress wrote: “I earned £1.88 from a repeat of The Bill today.”
Fans flooded her comments laughing about how little the show’s stars are entitled to.
One follower joked: “Raking it in there lol! Tell them to repeat it on a loop you could earn loads!”
Another exclaimed: “Show off!”
A shocked commentator asked: “Before tax ??!” but Gabrielle clarified this was after her taxes had been paid.
The ITV drama was the longest-running police procedural drama in Britain.
It followed the lives of fictional officers on and off their beat, and was filmed across London.
In May 2022 there were rumours that the series was getting a reboot, leaving fans hopeful, but there has been no sign of production on the project since.
At the time, a TV insider said: “In the minds of many producers and execs, The Bill is a drama which is just sitting, waiting, to be rebooted.
“It’s a simple format but one which attracted a loyal army of followers who would be delighted to see it return.
“No doubt any new incarnation would be tweaked to make it attract a whole new generation to the show.”
