HAILEY Bieber has opened up about how difficult her first pregnancy has been in a new interview.
The model is currently expecting her first child with husband Justin Bieber.
“In the beginning [of pregnancy], it was super emotional for me. Like, ‘I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?’ ” she told W Magazine.
“I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us.”
Hailey, 27, and Justin, 30, got married in 2018.
She got married when she was only 21 years old.
Hailey and Justin announced they were expecting their first child together in May this year, with the couple sharing a series of photographs on Instagram.
In the images, Hailey debuted her baby bump while wearing a white lace dress.
Shortly after, a representative for her confirmed Hailey was just over six months pregnant at the time.
During the interview, Hailey showed off her growing bump in just a pair of Miu Miu underwear and a fluffy pink over coat.
Elsewhere, Hailey explained why she finally decided to announce her pregnancy after six months of keeping it a secret, despite intense scrutiny about her relationship with Justin.
Admitting she could have “probably hid it until the end”, she added, “But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
In the interview, Hailey spoke candidly about how rumors about her marriage to Justin continue to affect her nearly six years since they tied the knot.
“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one. ‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy,” she said.
“I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less,” the Rhode founder confessed.
Reflecting on the widespread success of her beauty brand that was launched two years ago, Hailey said the goal was always for Rhode to “feel chic… feel cool” while simplifying extensive skincare routines.
“I looked at it from my point of view of style,” she explained. “Like, what are the essential items you need to have in your closet? The perfect leather jacket, the perfect pair of jeans, the perfect white tee.
“So it came down to: What are your must-haves that make up your skincare wardrobe? You don’t need to have a nine-step routine to have great skin. It doesn’t have to be complicated,” Hailey affirmed.

Justin and Hailey go way back as she met him when she was just 12 years old during a 2009 Today show appearance.
In 2011, the two were pictured together along with Hailey’s father at Justin’s Never Say Never documentary premiere where she called him “cute.”

Since announcing her pregnancy, Hailey has routinely shared updates about her journey on Instagram.
Last month, Hailey revealed she was experiencing lower back pain in a post on Instagram, quipping “who was going to tell me” about the discomfort.
After the pregnancy announcement, an old video of Hailey and Justin meeting for the first time resurfaced online.
Fans became emotional about their “full circle” love story after the short clip was posted on X/Twitter in May.
The video showed Hailey, then 12, meeting Justin backstage at the Today show after they were introduced by her father Stephen Baldwin.
“Bieber babies will have the sweetest bedtime love story of their parents,” one X user wrote.
“Imagine having video proof of the very first time you made eye contact with the love of your life?” a second fan commented.
“Imagine their kids growing up to see this clip. How I met your mother,” a third fan said, referencing the hit Noughties TV show.
