LOVE Island’s Jess White and Hugo Godfroy have shared a relationship update after being axed from the villa.
Jess and Hugo were sent home earlier this month in a brutal Love Island dumping of four Islanders.
Despite Hugo confessing he doubts about a relationship with Jess shortly before they were sent packing, they’ve confessed they’re still working on their romance.
Jess said: “We’re still seeing each other.”
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Hugo added: “We’re just going at our own pace.”
While in the villa Hugo opened up about his feelings towards Jess in a conversation wit Ayo Odukoya.
He said: “I just feel like maybe the way things are going with me and Jess, I dunno, I feel like there should be more. I feel like the conversation is just a bit dry.”
But Jess has insisted that they cleared the air on the show – it was just never shown on TV.
She said: “We actually had numerous conversations after Hugo’s chat with Ayo and we were good. That’s why I’m not feeling a certain way about it because I’d moved on from it.
“Me and Hugo spent so much time together, but that didn’t get aired.
“Let’s all remember it’s a TV show we’re asked to have certain conversations, which are going to potentially cause drama, so when you start saying, ‘Actually, I’m happy doing what I’m doing with the person I’m coupled up with,’ it doesn’t make for good TV.”
Last week Jess claimed Love Island host Maya Jama “called out” Casa Amor bombshell Diamanté Laiva for laughing at Uma Jammeh during the recoupling.
When Uma was left upset after learning of Wil Anderson‘s behaviour during the twist, Diamanté was seen apparently laughing.
Appearing on the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, Jess said: “She was [laughing]. That was not edited.
“What you won’t know is Maya actually called her out and said ‘what are you laughing at, then?’ She said, ‘What is it that’s funny then, if you’re not laughing at that situation?'”
Love Island is back on the box with a batch of sexy islanders all looking for love this summer.
