FANS have taken to social media to complain about the latest episode of Love Island not appearing on ITVX.
The show usually drops right after airing, hence it has left viewers frustrated waiting for the July 22 episode. Here’s what we know so far.
ITV revealed on X that there was an error uploading the latest episode of Love Island.
Posting on the social media platform, the channel said: “We got a text! and it’s to let us know that we’re aware of an issue surrounding the upload of last night’s Love Island episode.
“Not to worry as we’re looking into this as priority and will have this upload ASAP.”
Unfortunately, this hasn’t alleviated the concerns of fans who responded by saying, “Please sort this out.”
One user pointed out: “You have had more than enough time to add tonights love island episode, don’t get me mad today.”
While another said: “ITV X proving it’s the worst streaming platform AGAIN, where is last nights love island???”
A third user angrily wrote: “YESTERDAYS LOVE ISLAND IS STILL NOT ON ITV X PLS SORT IT OUT.”
A similar incident occurred on July 14, when uploading the episode was delayed.
And this wasn’t the first technical hiccup for Love Island, which had previously crashed on the launch night of the new summer series.
Premiering on June 3, the eleventh season of the dating show hosted by Maya Jama, began at 9pm with a 90-minute episode.
However, viewers struggled to access the stream on ITV’s platform and couldn’t see the new singletons until the first commercial break.
Fortunately, the restart streaming option allowed Love Island fans to catch up without missing any of the drama.
On July 7, while TV watchers were able to catch up on the show without any issue, online viewers were sent into a frenzy.
ITVX showed an unwelcome message only seconds ahead of the episode, which read: “Programme not available on this platform”.
It was enough for many reality TV fans to share enraged comments on X.
“How has @ITVX shut down on the #loveisland movie night”, one viewer wrote.
Another added: “It’s movie night on #Loveisland and itvx is down.”
ITV states that its pre-recorded shows, like soaps, dramas and documentaries, will be available to watch on ITVX just after they’ve finished on TV.
However, live shows like This Morning and sporting events take a little longer as the media outlet needs to get them processed first.
According to the ITV website: “They should be available within an hour after the show has finished.
“Longer broadcasts like horse racing or football matches might take a bit longer than that.”
You can watch all the previous episodes on ITVX, excluding the most recent one.
If you’re going abroad, you can simply use a good VPN service to watch Love Island from wherever you are.
The season is due to wrap up with the finale on July 29.
