EMMERDALE viewers have slammed the latest development in a storyline featuring show legend Kim Tate.
The character – played by Claire King – has a long history with the ITV soap.
Emmerdale legend Kim Tate has been manoeuvred out of Home Farm[/caption] It is not the first time that Kim’s position in the property has been challenged[/caption] Will and Kim got married in 2022[/caption]Since returning to the programme, Kim has been the owner of Home Farm for several years while she later married Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).
Over the past few months, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) has been plotting to take Kim down.
She enlisted the help of Kim’s love rival Rose (Christine Tremarco) – the ex-wife of Will (Dean Andrews) – to make it happen.
Their scheme has even included Rose impersonating Kim.
On a more sinister note, the newcomer has also framed Kim for spiking Dawn’s drink – Rose’s own estranged daughter.
Although viewers know Rose was responsible – having paid off a dealer – she slyly staged an intervention to make it appear Kim was at fault.
Dawn declared she was moving out and taking her kids with her – believing they wouldn’t be safe around Kim.
However, the iconic character decided to pack her own bags and check into a local B&B – despite being the owner of Home Farm.
It is not the first challenge she’s faced in keeping Home Farm, following Caleb’s (William Ash) plot to take over the estate.
Fans have been left wondering why Kim would concede the property to Will and his family without putting up a fight.
Sharing their thoughts online, as one wrote: “That house is still Kim’s, pathetic storyline #emmerdale.”
Another added: “Not seen #Emmerdale in ages. Why is Kim leaving her OWN home?”
A third chimed in: “The Kim Tate we actually know and love would not allow herself to be disrespected in her house like this and would’ve kicked these twats out a *long* time ago.”
While a fourth remarked: “Are they for real, changing the locks so Kim can’t get back in her own home.”

It comes as ITV soap fans believe they spotted a “clue” that Kim will embark on an affair with much-younger villager Billy.
With most of her family believing Rose’s side of the spiking story, Kim has grown closer to Billy, her only supporter.
