LOVE Island fans think they’ve spotted a secret romance blossoming between two islanders who aren’t coupled up in the villa.
The pair have both been entangled in relationships with others since joining the show.
But tonight they stole a couple of hugs and glances across the fire pit.
And viewers have picked up on an electrifying tension between Matilda and Reuben.
One said: “The way Reuben is actually Matilda’s type.”
Another tweeted: “Reuben giving matilda a hug…”
And a third remarked on X: “Why was Matilda rubbing Reuben like that” alongside a wide eye emoji.
Matilda and Reuben made a beeline for each other in Monday’s episode when her family entered the villa.
Later, viewers said Reuben looked upset that he wasn’t the one sitting with Matilda and her family.
Another fan wrote on X: “Anyone else noticing how close Reuben is with Matilda…. he wants to be over there.”
It comes as cracks began to form in Matilda and Sean‘s relationship.
And last week Sean was slammed for ‘gaslighting’ Matilda after a game of suck and blow.
Now viewers think they’re faking their feelings to get to the final.

Joey Essex came nder fire from ITV2 viewers following his “vile” behaviour towards a number of his co-stars.
The TOWIE star has seen himself locking horns with most of the villa, but in recent days he’s clashed with Grace, Josh, Mimii and Ciaran.
However, tonight he slapped down Reuben Collins when his pal attempted to console him after a row with Jessy.
Joey snapped: “I’m not being rude but you don’t know anything about my situation at all.
“You don’t need to tell me nothing bro.”
