A FAMILY-run car dealership chain loved by thousands of Brits will open seven new showrooms immediately.
The firm will offer motors from four major car brands as part of its sales agreement.
Dealership franchise Mon Motors is set to open seven new sites immediately[/caption]Mon Motors, which has been run by the Cleverley family since 1976, is best known as a beloved provider of second-hand cars in South Wales and the West of England.
Now, though, it will be expanding its retail operations after a significant takeover deal.
Mon has acquired seven sites from Heritage Automotive for an “undisclosed fee”.
Rebranding is already underway with Gavin Cleverley, the managing director, visiting the new outlets and meeting staff.
Writing on LinkedIn, he said: “Following our acquisition of seven sites from Heritage Automotive last Friday, it’s been great to get out and meet the teams this week and I’m delighted to have welcomed everyone into the Mon Motors family.
“It’s been fantastic to have met so many positive and enthusiastic people across all the sites.
“As we end the week the sun has come out and the rebranding has already started.”
The move will mean that Mon will supply cars from Audi, Skoda, VW and Cupra to customers in the West Country.
The new showrooms include two in Gloucester, three in Bristol, and one each in Cheltenham and Weston-Super-Mare.
They are set to open as soon as the rebranding is complete.
And the expansion also brings new jobs to the region, with Mon advertising for roles including sales executives in Bristol and Gloucester, as well as someone to head up the business at Cheltenham Audi.
Mr Cleverley added: “We are now looking for additional colleagues to join the teams, if any of the roles below look right for you please get in touch.”
Anyone interested in the roles can contact the firm’s HR email address.
It comes after another major dealership chain opened its first ever physical sites after absorbing a key rival.
