A NEW flavour of a popular sweet has hit the shelves of UK stores just in time for summer.
Sweet-toothed shoppers have been raving over the unusual flavour of the fan-favourite candy.
Classic sweet brand Swizzels has released its latest flavour of Squashies – cherry cola.
The treats, which appear to only be available in Asda, cost £1.15 for a 140g bag.
Snack finding Facebook page Food Finds UK Official posted the find, which racked up a whopping 1.6k likes.
It shared an image of the bag of candies on supermarket shelves and sweet tooth Facebook users flocked to the comments.
One said: “Oh my god, I need!”
Another wrote: “Ooooh they sound good!”
A third commented: “May have to go on a hunt for them…”
A fourth posted: “I found and bought them today, they’re amazing!
“Will buy more tomorrow.”
While fifth said: “YES YES AND YES.”
“Oh my daysssssss!!! I must have!!!!” another hailed.
Others described the sweets as “game changing” and “yummy”.
We have only seen the new flavour available at Asda, but have contacted Swizzels to see if they’ll be available elsewhere.
We’ve also checked to see if they’re limited edition and will update this story when we hear back.
Cherry cola is the latest flavour release from Swizzels, last month the chain brought out double dip orange and cherry – which are available at Co-op.
Fans have been going wild for the strawberry and cream edition too.
Elsewhere, Tic Tac, the iconic mint brand, has released a unique flavour to commemorate the festival season.
The firm unveiled its new mint packed with cherry, juicy lemon and pink lemonade flavours.
The bright pink limited edition flamingo cherry lemonade flavour will be available for a limited time during summer months.
The firm said that the candies will still maintain its signature refreshing taste while bursting with sweet flavours.
The treat is retailing for £1.70, and comes in a pack of 49g and 18g. It’s not clear yet which shops will stock the sweets
New flavours of Haribo sweets have hit the shelves in B&M just in time for summer – and shoppers are loving them.
Haribo has released new sweets dubbed ‘Soopa-Hoopla’ that has “Ice Cream Flavours”.
The new sweets were shared on the Facebook page Newfoodsuk – and got a lot of attention.
Inside the pack the treats are ring-shaped and reportedly come in flavours “Raspberry Ripple, Bananaberry, Lemon Swirl, Rhubarb & Custard and Strawberry Cream.”
Sour Patch Kids is launching a Strawberry flavour this month, alongside the current Original, Cola, Fruit Mix and Watermelon.
Fans can nab a 130g bag for £1.50, from a wide range of retailers.
Swizzels’ iconic Marvellous Mallows range is also welcoming a new raspberry and milk flavoured goodie.

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed on flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for supermarket’s own brand bars.
Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
