Problems with PayPal on Downdetector peaked at 1.25pm on Friday, June 19, 2024 — but there were only 44 issues reported at this time.
So although the service has not been ideal for some users, PayPal has not been affected to the extent of other major businesses.

Users of Windows PCs reported their computers shutting down involuntarily, and when they tried to restart them they became stuck on a blue screen — with Windows not loading.
Cybersecurity software firm CrowdStrike says it has identified the cause of the global outage as a flawed anti-viral update.
The company is reportedly used by Microsoft to handle various systems updates.
An update released to CrowdStrike’s Falcon software on Friday is understood to have caused the issue.
“CrowdStrike is aware of reports of crashes on Windows hosts related to the Falcon Sensor,” the company wrote in response.
A Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement: “We’re aware of an issue affecting Windows devices due to an update from a third-party software platform.
“We anticipate a resolution is forthcoming.”
While CrowdStrike released a statement reading: “Crowdstrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts.
“Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted. This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed.”
