MCDONALD’S fans were ecstatic to hear Happy Meal prices have been slashed to just £1.99 – here’s how to nab yours.
The fun summer deal is now up and running – but hungry customers will have to act fast.
Families can pick up their mega discounted Happy Meal through the McDonald’s App.
A choice of Fish Fingers, Chicken McNuggets or Veggie Dippers is offered in the yummy box.
This can be wolfed down with either an Apple and Grape bag or Carrot Bag side.
A drink choice or water, milk, or Fruit Shoot completes the scrumptious selection.
The limited time offer marks the release of the fast-food giant’s exclusive Despicable Me 4 Happy Meal.
It comes as the Steve Carell animated movie hit cinema screens on Saturday.
McDonald’s £1.99 Happy Meals, reduced by a whopping 40 per cent, are available until Wednesday, July 30.
Meanwhile, the Despicable Me 4 surprises will be putting smiles on kids’ faces until August 27.
Children can take home one of two books – or one of 12 toys.
Without the McDonald’s App, the Happy Meals can be enjoyed for £3.49.
A spokesperson said: “Don’t forget to tackle Minion missions by scanning the QR code on the Happy Meal box! If that’s not enough, families can also visit the McDonald’s Family Hub for more fun activities.
“Customers will be able to earn points when they purchase this deal by opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards.
“The scheme means every penny spent equals one Rewards point, so the new limited-time Happy Meal offer will get you 199 points.”
It comes as McDonald’s is set to axe six items from its menu tomorrow, including what fans call an “incredible” burger.

The app is free to download on both IOS and Android.
Once you have it, you can sign up with a McDonald’s rewards scheme account.
On the app, you will able to browse the latest menu available at the restaurant.
It is an easy way to keep updated and order when you are on the go as it works anywhere you have internet.
In the mornings, you’ll have access to the breakfast menu options until 11am, when breakfast finishes and lunch begins.
Before ordering you will need to pick the restaurant you want your food to be made at.
After the first time, the app will remember your previous locations and should flag the last restaurant you picked up at.
If you’re visiting somewhere new make sure the correct restaurant is selected as the app will autofill your location when it’s opened.
After this, you’ll be able to look at menu items and add them to your basket.
Once you’ve completed this, you can confirm your order and head to the restaurant.
When you’ve arrived, confirm this on the app and select the collection method.
You can set up a payment method in the app which can be saved and used every time too.
You won’t be charged until you’ve arrived at the restaurant and selected a collection method.
You can also select your favourite items with the star button next to each product, making it easier and quicker to reorder your favourite meals.
Plus, the app allows you to customise orders just like when you normally order.
You can remove things you don’t want in a burger and add extras.
The only issue is the app won’t allow you to pay with cash.
