A THRIFTY shopper has revealed how she was able to score budget-friendly alternatives for popular brands at her local Dollar Tree.
She said she found dupes for The Ordinary, Olay, and Hawaiian Tropic while scanning the aisles, and there was one in particular that she was excited to find.
TikTok user MainstMuse (@mainstmuse) loves a good deal, according to her bio.
She shared in a video how she scored several top-notch finds that rival popular items on the beauty market.
She makes it a habit to scan the aisles looking for steals.
She first admitted that she was excited about a particular product because she was “on the hunt” for it.
They were dupes for the Vaseline Body Balm Sticks, $6.99 at Target.
The Xtra Care Body Balm Jelly Sticks, $1.25, came in fragrance-free and in a cocoa butter scent.
That wasn’t all that she stumbled across while walking around the store.
Several off-brand feminine hygiene products from B-Pure resembled the brand Honeypot.
From sanitary napkins to feminine wash to deodorant spray, there were several affordable options for women’s needs.
The Skin Nutrition Botanicals Vitamin C Serum, $1.25, is a dupe for The Ordinary’s Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%, $14.80.
The beauty buy was just one of several other beauty products that the savvy shopper was impressed with.
She shared another similar item that is a dead ringer for Cetaphil skincare products.
The B-Pure Gentle Skin Cleanser, $1.25, is a fraction of the price.
Lastly, a self-tanning oil captured her eye because it is a dupe for the Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil.
“I haven’t used this, but I’ve heard really good things,” she said.
People couldn’t get over the stellar finds within her store.
“This is a GOOD dollar tree,” one commented.
“I’ve been saving money shopping at Dollar Tree, single mom here. I buy V5 shampoos, hair gel, a pack of toothbrushes, and much more. even snacks,” a TikTok user admitted.
“The Olay dupes are BOMBBBBB!!!” a woman said.
“The lotion for the Olay dupe is amazing,” another agreed.
