CORONATION Street fans have called out an unusual trend they’ve spotted on the show.
Eagle-eyed viewers of the long-running soap are always first to spot blunders and issues with continuity.
But this time they’ve taken aim at the sheer amount of twins that have walked the Weatherfield cobbles.
Coronation Street currently has two twins in the ITV show, Asha and Aadi Alahan, as well as Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman.
Gemma, who is played by Dolly-Rose Campbell, is also a mum to quads Aled, Bryn, Carys and Llio.
Off screen, William and Isabella Flanagan – who star as cousins Joseph Brown and Hope Stape – are also twins.
Taking to a Coronation Street-themed forum, soap fans have discussed the show’s ‘abnormal’ amount of twins.
One viewer also pointed out how Steve McDonald and his brother Andy are also twins.
Peter Barlow’s late sister Susan was also his twin, while mechanic Abi Franklin is a mum to twins, although she doesn’t see them.
One fan also pointed out: “Daniel was a twin and Tracy miscarried twins.”
A second then chimed in: “Judy and Gary Mallet? Had boy and girl twins. Judy was killed in a car accident.”
“I don’t know any twins in real life, let alone triplets or quads,” said another viewer.
While a fourth commented: “I don’t know any twins in real life, let alone triplets or quads.”
