GETTING married is the happiest day of many people’s lives, but it can turn some people into bridezillas.
One wedding guest was left in shock after being sent a list of very demanding requirements from the bride.
A photo of the bold text was posted on Reddit with the caption: “She’ll marry in an empty church”, implying there would be no guests turning up to the special day.
It turned out there were numerous things guests had to do in order to attend the day.
The bride wrote: “Anyway, to secure your spot in our wedding party the following things will be required.”
First up was a “promise to host a party (must be couples) at a venue other than someone’s house.”
Guests were also expected to make a large financial contribution to the day.
The bride continued: “Your wedding gift must be cash/check of at least $500 (£380).
“You must buy me or [name] (depending on which side your on) a ‘day of’ gift of at least $100 (£77).
“You must attend every shower/party we have and will be required to purchase a gift for each one (with a value of at least $50 (£38).”
The bride finished up by writing: “You will sign a contract that holds you legally responsible for meeting all of our requirements and says that if you don’t you will be legally held to reimbursing us for the time we wasted and the stress of causing problems.”
People were shocked at the message and were quick to chime in with their views.
One said: “Well, this’ll be the least expensive wedding for the poster, because no one will want to show up!”
Another added: “I love how easy she made it for her wedding party asks to decline the offer.”
A third commented: “To whoever is marrying this person: May whatever god you believe in have mercy on your soul. R.I.P.”
Meanwhile, some people questioned if it was even real due to the extreme conditions.

Josie Griffiths said: When I was planning my wedding this August, the idea of sending out a list of ‘rules’ never once popped into my mind.
The first two this bride created seem fair enough, but also like they should be common sense, and then they just descend into chaos.
Insisting on “approving” all photos before they go out and ordering guests to stick to a “minimalist” colour palette seems pretty OTT to me.
And rudely telling guests to leave you alone when you arrive at the ceremony and eat your dinner – while also ordering them to come say goodbye before leaving – is a bit mad.
I don’t know how many guests this bride is inviting, but everyone knows weddings can get a bit manic. Of course it’d be nice to greet and say goodbye to everyone personally, but I’ve come to peace with the fact that probably won’t happen.
Like with everything in life, once you get yourself in a tizz about everything happening a certain way, you’re basically setting yourself up for failure.
I don’t pretend to be the most laid-back bride ever and I can’t promise I won’t get a bit stressed if we’re running loads behind on the morning of my wedding, but this is just massively over the top.
I agree with the commenters, I wouldn’t bother going.

She went viral on the social media app when she shared the controversial rules she set for guests ahead of her wedding.
Many people said they would’ve refused to attend the ceremony if they were invited, while others defended her requirements.
Countless guests asked if they could bring their children, but Rachel only made an exception for the flower girl and ring bearer — who went home right after the ceremony.
She and her husband didn’t want any kids under age 21 to attend because there was a lake at their reception venue.
However, rule number two was the biggest “drama starter,” as she demanded no alcohol for the groomsmen before the ceremony.
Rachel argued that having spent “so much money and time” on her big day, they should wait until later in the day to drink.
Asking to bring a plus-one to the wedding — if none was on the invite — was also a no-no.
