ITV has been bombarded with a slew of Ofcom complaints courtesy of furious Love Island fans.
Viewers have called out the explosive Movie Night scenes in particular – and haven’t been shy in flagging their concerns over the ITV2 series to the official broadcasting watchdog.
Love Island viewers had threatened to call Ofcom following Sunday’s episode, and it seems they stayed true to their word.
A total of 55 complaints have been written in, with the organisation confirming they related to Nicole Samuel‘s attitude to partner Ciaran Davies, 21, as scenes showing him chatting in Casa Amor played out.
During the episode in question, Nicole, 24, was seen shouting and swearing at the rugby lad as she watched some of the scenes back and his explosive row with Ellie Jackson.
Stunned viewers then accused the show of triggering Nicole, with one taking to X to muse: “This cannot be good for her mental health and the producers need to step in. It’s not good telly.”
Fans then proceeded to beg Ciaran to dump the Welsh lass – dubbing her behaviour a “red flag.”
Additionally, Love Island followers have also claimed the sports ace “is not” for Nicole after her reactions in a series of other show challenges.
Nicole and Ciaran were previously left on the rocks after he disclosed he would have kissed stunning blonde Grace Jackson, 25, in a different challenge.
The red-head was also branded as “out of line” after telling the girls the rugby lad had slept with 120 girls.
Fans called her out for “shaming” her man with her stark comments.
This comes despite the fact the duo have confessed their love for each other.
Ciaran told Nicole he loved her during an sweet moment in bed as the pair snuggled under the covers.
Yet some Love Island viewers were left hugely sceptical
They believed the timing of his words was strategic – as it came just beforethe return of spin-off villa Casa Amor.
At the time, a fan took to X to remark: “Me while Nicole and Ciaran’s love declaration goes around the villa knowing he’s probably going to break her heart during Casa.”
