A VINTED whizz has shared her top tips for selling your old clothes online.
Vinted is an online marketplace where people can buy and sell second hand clothes, shoes and accessories.
It’s completely free to upload clothes to the app and Vinted does not take a cut of sellers’ profits and instead charges buyers a small fee to purchase each item.
Busy mum Amy is trying out a number of side hustles to help her pay for a garage conversion, and has had lots of success with making cash from selling clothes on Vinted.
Taking to TikTok, the side hustler revealed the secrets to her selling success.
Amy’s first tip is “selling slow”.
She explained that if you have lots of items to upload it is best to upload one each day.
The mum shared: “If you slowly drip feed posts it will boost you up the algorithm, and get your posts seen more”.
She added that as Vinted shows results by the newest first, if you are constantly adding new items, you will always be at the top of the feed.
Amy said that her second tip is to take good, clear photos.
She advised hanging your items on a wooden hanger instead of a plastic one, to make them look “more bougie”.
The mum added, that if you want more money for your items, you need to show the items off by taking lots of pictures of the clothes from all angles.
She said: “There are hundreds of items on there, yours needs to stand out”.
Amy’s third tip is to upload items in categories.
For example, if you have a load of clothes that are all the same size, upload these one after the other.

She explained that by doing this, you will appear in people’s feeds multiple times when they are searching for a category, so your items are more likely to be seen.
Amy revealed that it is important to put hashtags in the descriptions of your items, to boost visibility.
She explained you should include hashtags for anything that you think people may be searching for.
Amy recommended turning bundle discounts on, which gives people a discount if they buy one or more items from your site.
She explained that this way, you are encouraging people to buy more than one item from your page.
Amy revealed that it is best to post on Vinted when people are most likely to be active, for example in the evening and at weekends, so that more people are likely to see your items.
She said that she has found that she gets the most interest when listing items on a Sunday.
Amy said that she has had some success from sending people that have favourited her items a discounted offer.
She added that she has found that if she sends a message along with the offer, she is more likely to make a sale.
Amy’s final tip is to leave personal feedback on anything you buy or sell.
She explained that this helps Vinted to see you as an authentic seller, and boosts your profile more.
Amy’s video, which was posted under the username @thehustlemumma, has likely left many people impressed, as it has racked up over 134,000 views on the video sharing platform.
