PRINCE Harry is getting bored of life across the pond as he “never sees” his friends, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Success, 39, moved to Montecito, California in 2020 after giving up his royal title alongside wife Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry is getting “increasingly bored” in the US, claims royal expert[/caption]The couple have opted to raise their two children – Archie, five, and Lilibet, three – out of the public eye.
But their newfound privacy in the affluent Pacific Ocean town has put a strain on their friendships.
Harry doesn’t even see his pals anymore, claims royal author and expert Tom Quinn.
“Harry is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live,” he told The Mirror.
“And whom he never sees because they won’t visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult.”
Hugh Grosvenor, one of Harry’s oldest friends and godfather to Archie, wed at Chester Cathedral in June.
The Prince was nowhere to be seen at the ceremony or reception.
Similarly, when travelling to London to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games, he checked into a hotel room alone rather than staying at a royal residence or visiting friends.
Royal expert Tom added that it’s possible Harry didn’t meet any of his old friends from school and the military on these occasions as they are “a part of the old pre-Meghan world”.
He believes that Harry “hates to revisit” these times.
Tom further claimed that the Duke’s army friends felt “betrayed” by his notes on his military service in his memoir, Spare.
The other lads now reportedly feel like they have “nothing in common” with the royal.
During an exclusive conversation with The Sun’s Royal Editor, Matt Wilkinson, historian and biographer Hugo Vickers was asked where he thinks the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be in a decade’s time.
Hugo said: “I think he’ll come home.
“If he comes home, it will be very nice for him, because he won’t particularly want to, he’s quite angry I think.”
Not only that, the expert thinks Harry will come home alone.
“The King, as I have mentioned before, has left the door wide open for him to do that,” he continued.
“And he was doing such a good job before – he looked so happy.
“Usually you’re happy when you’re doing your duty, and you’re doing it for other people, and you’re putting things into life.
“I personally think Harry’s petrified of losing Meghan and looks slightly petrified of her to be honest.”
