Ed Miliband is a British politician born on December 24, 1969.
He has had a long career in politics, which includes being made the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero in July 2024.
This comes after Labour scooped a majority in the 2024 General Election.
He was leader of the Labour Party between 2010 and 2015.
Alongside his brother, David Miliband, he also served in the Cabinet from 2007 to 2010 under Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Ed is married to Justine Thornton who is a High Court judge.
The couple first met in 2002 and went on to live together in north London.
In March 2010, Ed popped the question and they got married a year later.
Justine was made a High Court judge in 2019.

Ed’s constituency is Doncaster North in South Yorkshire.
The politician was re-elected in 2024, gaining a total of 16,231 votes.
